As a Sr. Specialist, Equality Communities, APAC, you will be responsible for supporting and coordinating the activities of business resource groups within a specific region or area.

Your role will involve:

  • Role details: based in Sydney, dual reporting to Director, Global Equality Development, globally and the Director, Regional Equality ANZ & ASEAN, locally.

  • 50% Equality Communities: ANZ community management, Monthly Equality Group leader Roundtables, Quarterly Global EQG Connects, Hub Executive engagement, Equality Group campaign event approvals & APAC budget management, Annual, Global Equality program and event support in partnership with global team

  • 50% ANZ Regional Strategy: Flagship development and retention programs, support with AWEI & LGBTQ+ strategy, WGEA compliance, Fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment

  • Promoting employee engagement

  • Driving initiatives that align with the organization's diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) goals

You will collaborate with BRG leaders, Employee Success teams, and other stakeholders to develop and implement programs, events, and resources that support the professional development, networking, and cultural awareness of BRG members.

Responsibilities

I. Strategic Leadership & Program Management

  • Regional Program Oversight: Support and coordinate the activities of Equality Groups within a specific region or area.

  • Strategic Alignment: Promote a diverse and inclusive work environment, employee engagement, and initiatives aligned with organizational and Global Equality Group goals, considering local EQE strategies.

    • Collaborate with ESBPs and Equality Team leaders to build BRG strategies supporting EQ plans and the International EQ Taskforce.

  • Partnership Development: Work with Equality Group leaders, program business partners, and other stakeholders to develop and implement programs, events, and resources that support professional development, networking, and cultural awareness.

  • Regional Strategy Development: Collaborate with BRG leaders to develop and execute regional strategies and initiatives aligned with organizational goals.

  • Equality Group Engagement Strategy: Lead and develop engagement strategies that support membership growth across all Equality Groups in line with company goals.

  • Integration with Business: Ensure Equality Group initiatives are integrated with broader Equality and talent development programs.

II. Group Support & Enablement

  • Group Formation & Growth: Support formation and growth of BRGs within the region, providing guidance, resources, and best practices.

    • Example: Leading the State of EQ Groups Call / ANZ time zone to allow members to join and hear from the Office of Equality & Engagement.

  • Direct Member Support: Serve as a point of contact for Equality Group members, addressing inquiries, providing resources, and supporting engagement and participation.

  • Guidance & Support for Leaders: Support Equality Group leaders in developing and implementing metrics to measure the impact and effectiveness of group activities.

  • Communication & Collaboration: Facilitate regular communication and collaboration among Equality Group leaders to ensure knowledge sharing and alignment of activities.

    • Regular meetings with BRG Hub Presidents, ANZ Regional VPs, BRG Council coordinators, and EQE Regional leads

III. Event Planning & Execution

  • Event Coordination: Plan and execute BRG events, including speaker series, panel discussions, networking events, and community service activities.

    • Marquee Events: Pride, Diwali, Black History Month, etc.

IV. External Engagement & Communication

  • External Relationships: Build relationships with external organizations, community groups, and partners to enhance visibility and influence of Equality Groups.

  • Internal Communications: Work with communications teams to develop and distribute internal communications related to Equality Group activities, events, and updates.

V. Data, Insights & Compliance

  • Performance Measurement & Improvement: Collect and analyze feedback and survey data from Equality Group members to identify areas for improvement and enhance employee experience.

  • Best Practices & Research: Stay informed on industry best practices, trends, and research related to Equality and BRGs, sharing insights and recommendations with leaders and stakeholders.

  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to organizational policies, procedures, and legal requirements related to Equality and Equality Groups.

    • Partner with PR in country + Hub Presidents regarding ad hoc legal requirements around Equality (e.g., Italy, Spain)

    • Participate in escalation calls of BRG Hub Leads regarding EQ messaging guidelines

    • Ensure successful delivery of Champion Months without disruptions and with appropriate support
