Senior Product Manager - Technical, Alexa Connections

Amazon · Seattle, Washington, USA

The vision for Alexa is to be the world's best personal assistant — one that plays a vital role in managing the communication lives of customers, from drafting messages to coordinating with people on their behalf. At Alexa Connections, we're leveraging Generative AI and strategic partnerships to bring this assistant to life.

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager - Technical to own the strategy for building an ecosystem of communications partners on Alexa+.

This role sits at the intersection of technical fluency, product management, business acumen, and developer advocacy.

If you're passionate about working shoulder-to-shoulder with communications partners — understanding their roadmap, identifying mutual wins, and celebrating shared success — this role is for you.

Key job responsibilities
As a Senior Product Manager - Technical in Alexa Connections, you will have the below responsibilities. This role is cross-functional — you will work closely with engineering, science, design, business intelligence, operations, finance, legal, and executive teams to bring partnership experiences to market.

* Partner Relationships: Build deep, trust-based relationships with communications partners — understanding their roadmap, technical constraints, and business goals to identify mutual wins
* Product strategy and hero Use Cases: Co-create a compelling product strategy and align on hero use cases with partners that showcase what's possible when their platform meets Alexa+
* Seamless Onboarding: Own the end-to-end partner onboarding experience — reducing time-to-integration and removing friction so partners can go live on Alexa+ as fast as possible
* Drive to Success: Partner closely with communications platforms post-launch to drive adoption, measure impact, and iterate toward shared success metrics
* Internal Partnerships: Partner within engineering teams within Alexa to define integration points, APIs, and platform capabilities that enable seamless 3P developer experiences
* Partner Summits & Advocacy: Represent Amazon at partner summits to attract new communications partners and grow the developer ecosystem on Alexa+

A successful candidate will have strong partner instincts, be able to work effectively in a matrix organization, and be adept at translating partner needs into platform capabilities that benefit customers.

A day in the life
As a partner product manager in Alexa, no two days are the same. You are the bridge between Amazon and our communications partners — owning the relationship, the integration experience, and the shared success.

Weekly, you'll meet with partners to understand their roadmap and integration challenges, co-define hero use cases for Alexa+, analyze adoption metrics, write PRFAQs and BRDs for platform capabilities, and think big about which partners to attract next.

Daily, you'll work across engineering, design, legal, BD, and senior leadership — synthesizing partner feedback, competitive intelligence, and technical constraints into cohesive strategy. You'll remove blockers for partners in flight and advocate for platform investments that make Alexa+ the best place for communications partners to build.

People will look to you to connect the dots between what partners need and what our platform can deliver. Our partners are technical teams, so you'll use API specs, architecture diagrams, and technical documentation to understand challenges and communicate solutions."
