QA Automation Engineer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a QA Automation Engineer based in Brazil.

This role is focused on ensuring the highest level of quality across healthcare software products through robust automation practices.
You will join an agile engineering environment where collaboration with developers, DevOps, and QA peers is essential.
The position plays a key role in building and maintaining scalable test automation frameworks that support fast and reliable releases.
You will contribute directly to improving product stability by identifying defects early and strengthening regression coverage.
The work involves both hands-on test automation development and support for manual testing activities when needed.
You will also participate in CI/CD processes, ensuring automated testing is fully integrated into delivery pipelines.
This is a highly collaborative and technical role within a distributed international team focused on delivering impactful HealthTech solutions.

• Design, build, maintain, and enhance automated testing frameworks to ensure strong regression coverage and reliable release cycles.
• Develop automated test cases in parallel with new feature development, ensuring early validation of UI and backend functionality.
• Support manual testing efforts and progressively convert manual test cases into scalable automated scripts.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with TechOps teams to ensure continuous quality validation.
• Investigate, debug, and resolve automation issues while performing root-cause analysis when failures occur.
• Create and maintain test plans, documentation, and reporting metrics for both manual and automated testing activities.
• Collaborate closely with development teams to define test strategies, prioritize scenarios based on risk, and ensure full test coverage.
• Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps, ensuring timely resolution throughout the development cycle.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2+ years of experience in QA automation within cloud-based environments (excluding internships).
• Strong experience with manual and automated testing of web applications and APIs.
• Hands-on experience with automation frameworks, scripting, and programming languages used in QA.
• Solid debugging and troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze issues across full-stack systems.
• Experience working in Linux and/or MacOS environments.
• Ability to work effectively across front-end and back-end systems.
• Strong communication skills and experience working in distributed, international teams.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage test coverage based on business risk, and work in agile environments.
• Authorization to work in Brazil or other Latin American countries.
