Join a team of passionate cybersecurity and technical sales professionals helping organizations strengthen their security posture and accelerate their digital resilience. As part of Splunk, a Cisco company, you'll work with customers to solve complex security challenges using industry-leading Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Security Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR), Threat Detection, and Security Operations solutions.

Our team partners closely with customers, security leaders, and technical practitioners to drive innovation, improve security outcomes, and help organizations build modern, resilient Security Operations Centers (SOCs).

Your Impact

As a Security Solutions Engineer, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor throughout the customer lifecycle, helping organizations modernize and optimize their security operations. You will drive the technical sales process by understanding customer challenges, positioning Splunk's security portfolio, and demonstrating how our solutions deliver measurable security and business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Account Managers to identify, qualify, and advance cybersecurity opportunities across enterprise accounts.

  • Conduct discovery sessions to understand customer security strategies, SOC maturity, compliance requirements, and operational challenges.

  • Design and present solutions leveraging Splunk Enterprise Security, SOAR, SIEM, Threat Detection, Security Analytics, and related cybersecurity technologies.

  • Deliver compelling technical demonstrations, workshops, and executive briefings tailored to customer security use cases.

  • Lead Proof of Value (POV) and Proof of Concept (POC) engagements to validate technical capabilities and business outcomes.

  • Build trusted relationships with CISOs, Security Architects, SOC Managers, Incident Responders, and Security Operations teams.

  • Collaborate with internal specialists, product teams, and partner organizations to develop winning technical strategies.

  • Position Splunk's security solutions against competitive offerings and articulate differentiated value.

  • Act as a cybersecurity advocate through customer engagements, industry events, and thought leadership activities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in Technical Sales, Solutions Engineering, Security Consulting, Security Operations, or related cybersecurity roles.

  • Strong understanding of SIEM, SOAR, Threat Detection, Incident Response, Security Monitoring, and Security Operations Center (SOC) workflows.

  • Experience designing, presenting, and demonstrating cybersecurity solutions to technical and executive audiences.

  • Experience conducting Proof of Concept (POC) or Proof of Value (POV) engagements.

  • Ability to engage with technical stakeholders and translate business and security challenges into solution-based outcomes.

  • Understanding of modern cybersecurity threats, attack methodologies, and security frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Splunk Enterprise Security, Splunk SOAR, Splunk Cloud, or related security platforms.

  • Knowledge of SOC operations, threat hunting, incident response, detection engineering, and security automation.

  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, ISO 27001, and Zero Trust architectures.

  • Experience with cloud security technologies across AWS, Azure, and GCP.

  • Knowledge of scripting or automation technologies such as Python, REST APIs, or security orchestration workflows.

  • Industry certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, Security+, Splunk Enterprise Security Admin, Splunk Core Certified Consultant, or equivalent.

  • Excellent presentation, communication, and executive influencing skills.
