This role sits at the intersection of artificial intelligence, enterprise solution design, and high-stakes public sector sales, where technical depth directly influences mission-critical outcomes. You will act as the primary technical advisor throughout complex government sales cycles, translating real-world operational challenges into credible AI-driven solutions. Working closely with go-to-market teams, you will engage directly with federal, state, and local agencies to understand their systems, constraints, and mission needs. The role blends hands-on technical execution with customer-facing storytelling, including demos, proof-of-concepts, and architecture design. You will play a key part in shaping how advanced AI systems are introduced into government environments with strict compliance and security requirements. This is a fast-moving, field-oriented position where your ability to build trust and simplify complexity will directly impact deal success and long-term deployments.

Accountabilities:

In this role, you will serve as the technical lead across the full government sales lifecycle, from early discovery through pilot execution and deployment alignment. You will bridge customer mission needs with internal engineering capabilities, ensuring solutions are both feasible and impactful.

  • Lead technical discovery sessions with government stakeholders to map workflows, data environments, and mission constraints
  • Design and present solution architectures tailored to public sector requirements, including compliance and security frameworks such as FedRAMP and ATO processes
  • Build and deliver demos, prototypes, and proof-of-concepts aligned with agency-specific challenges
  • Support RFPs, RFIs, and technical documentation for procurement processes and capture efforts
  • Partner with engineering teams to ensure smooth transition from pre-sales solutions to production deployments
  • Gather and synthesize customer feedback to influence product direction and improve solution fit for government use cases
  • Requirements:

    This position requires strong technical credibility combined with proven experience in customer-facing solution engineering roles, ideally within government or regulated environments. The ideal candidate is both a builder and a communicator, capable of operating independently in complex, ambiguous sales cycles.

    • 5+ years of experience in sales engineering, solutions architecture, forward-deployed engineering, or similar technical customer-facing roles
    • Experience working with US government clients (federal, state, or local), including familiarity with procurement processes and compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP, ATO, or IL levels
    • Strong technical foundation in AI/ML systems, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and data integration
    • Hands-on ability to build prototypes, demos, or working technical solutions independently
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical systems into clear mission and business value
    • Willingness to travel extensively across the United States for customer engagements
