Technical Solutions Engineer (Integrations)

This role sits at the intersection of healthcare technology and enterprise software integration, enabling seamless data exchange between complex clinical systems and modern SaaS platforms. You will design and support mission-critical integrations that connect electronic health records, third-party applications, and internal services at scale. The work directly impacts how healthcare organizations access, share, and operationalize patient and operational data. You will operate in a fast-moving, collaborative engineering environment where reliability, security, and interoperability are essential. This position requires strong technical depth, hands-on problem solving, and the ability to translate complex integration challenges into robust, scalable solutions. You will also work closely with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth deployments and long-term system performance.
Accountabilities:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable integrations between SaaS platforms and healthcare systems, including EHR solutions such as Epic and Oracle Cerner, ensuring secure and reliable data exchange across environments.
- Develop and optimize RESTful APIs, integration frameworks, and data pipelines supporting interoperability across clinical and operational systems.
- Troubleshoot complex integration issues in production environments, ensuring continuity of data flow and rapid resolution of system failures.
- Validate and test integrations using healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7, FHIR, and SMART on FHIR frameworks.
- Build and maintain automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring tools to ensure integration reliability and performance.
- Produce clear technical documentation, integration guides, and system specifications for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with clients and internal teams to translate requirements into scalable, production-ready integration solutions.
- 8–10+ years of experience in integration engineering, software engineering, or similar technical roles, with a strong focus on system-to-system connectivity.
- Proven experience integrating third-party systems with enterprise healthcare platforms, ideally including EHR systems such as Epic.
- Strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with modern backend development practices.
- Deep understanding of healthcare interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR, SMART on FHIR) and real-world application in production systems.
- Experience designing APIs, working with cloud-based SaaS architectures, and supporting distributed systems at scale.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex production integration issues.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
