SAP Technical Solutions Consultant
This is a highly technical, client-facing pre-sales role focused on enabling complex SAP integrations within enterprise finance environments. You will act as the primary technical authority supporting sales opportunities, helping prospects understand how integration architecture connects across SAP ECC and S/4HANA landscapes, ERP systems, and broader financial tech ecosystems. The role blends solution engineering, consultative advising, and hands-on technical validation to remove integration barriers during late-stage sales cycles. You will collaborate closely with Account Executives, Solutions Consultants, Product, and Engineering teams to design scalable integration workflows and ensure technical feasibility. A key part of the role involves translating complex SAP infrastructure into clear, business-relevant value for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. This is a fast-paced, customer-facing environment where your expertise directly influences deal closure, product direction, and enterprise adoption.
Accountabilities:
- Serve as the primary technical subject matter expert for SAP integration strategy across ECC and S/4HANA environments, including Public and Private Cloud deployments.
- Support late-stage sales cycles by engaging directly with prospects’ IT teams, finance systems administrators, and stakeholders to address technical requirements and concerns.
- Design, validate, and troubleshoot integration workflows using APIs, connectors, SFTP, SSO, and related enterprise connectivity methods.
- Collaborate with sales teams to define technical win strategies and secure IT approval for complex enterprise deals.
- Map financial and ERP data structures (including GL, subledgers, and custom tables) to integration requirements for accurate data ingestion.
- Partner with Product and Engineering teams to provide feedback on integration gaps and influence roadmap improvements.
- Build and maintain technical documentation, integration guides, and POC environments to support sales enablement and customer success.
- Assist in occasional proof-of-concept development, including data parsing, regex-based processing, and integration testing for ERP environments.
- 5+ years of experience in solutions engineering, technical consulting, IT systems integration, or ERP-focused roles.
- Strong expertise in SAP environments, including SAP S/4HANA, ECC, and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
- Solid understanding of SAP integration tools and protocols such as APIs (REST/OData), SFTP, and SAML-based authentication.
- Experience working with ERP data structures, including SAP tables (e.g., ACDOCA) and financial data models.
- Familiarity with integration architecture involving cloud storage systems, SSO solutions, and enterprise IT infrastructure.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, business-oriented explanations for diverse stakeholders.
- Experience supporting pre-sales or customer-facing technical engagements in high-velocity sales environments.
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work across sales, engineering, and product teams.
- Proficiency with scripting or data tools (e.g., SQL, JSON, Python, regex) is a plus.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% as needed for client engagement.
