This role sits at the intersection of advanced embedded systems engineering and technical presales leadership, focusing on delivering high-impact Linux and edge computing solutions for mission-critical industries. You will act as a trusted technical advisor to enterprise and strategic customers, helping shape solutions across industrial, aerospace, defense, telecom, and intelligent edge environments. The position plays a key role in driving technical wins by translating complex customer requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performance architectures. You will collaborate closely with sales, engineering, and product teams to demonstrate value through workshops, proofs of concept, and solution design engagements. The environment is highly technical, customer-facing, and innovation-driven, requiring both deep engineering expertise and strong commercial awareness. This is a strategic role where you directly influence adoption of cutting-edge embedded and enterprise Linux technologies across global accounts.

Accountabilities:

  • Act as the primary technical presales architect, engaging with customers to understand requirements and design end-to-end embedded and enterprise Linux solutions.
  • Lead technical discovery sessions, workshops, proof of concepts, and product demonstrations to support complex solution selling cycles.
  • Translate customer needs into scalable architecture blueprints leveraging Linux platforms, embedded systems, and third-party technologies.
  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor and escalation point for strategic accounts across industrial, aerospace, defense, and telecom sectors.
  • Collaborate with account managers to develop territory and account strategies and support business growth initiatives.
  • Provide consistent technical feedback from the field to product and engineering teams to influence roadmap and improvements.
  • Manage technical demonstrations, trade shows, and seminars to increase market awareness and solution adoption.
  • Remove technical barriers in the sales cycle by addressing architecture, performance, and integration challenges.
  • Support solution lifecycle management, ensuring continuity from pre-sales engagement through implementation handover.
  • Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or related field.
    • 8–12+ years of experience in embedded systems and enterprise Linux environments with strong solution architecture exposure.
    • Deep expertise in Linux platforms (e.g., Wind River Linux, RHEL, SUSE, Ubuntu, Rocky/Alma, eLxr Pro) including architecture, hardening, and lifecycle management.
    • Strong embedded software background including RTOS, BSPs, kernel/application development, debugging, and system integration.
    • Proven experience in technical presales, solution consulting, or field engineering roles supporting enterprise customers.
    • Strong C/C++ programming and debugging skills with ability to engage in deep technical discussions.
    • Experience with automation, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), and system-level orchestration is highly desirable.
    • Familiarity with safety/security standards (IEC 61508, EN 50128, DO-178) and certification processes is a plus.
    • Strong presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills across global and cross-functional teams.
    • Ability to manage multiple complex customer engagements simultaneously with strong prioritization and execution discipline.
    • Linux-related certifications such as RHCE, SUSE Certified Architect, or equivalent are required or highly valued.
