Senior Solution Consultant

This is a senior, customer-facing technical and strategic role at the center of complex K–12 education sales cycles. You will act as a trusted advisor to school districts and education leaders, translating operational challenges into clear, scalable solution designs that improve outcomes for educators and students. The role blends deep product expertise with consultative selling, discovery leadership, and technical validation across enterprise education environments. You will partner closely with Sales teams to shape deal strategy, run high-impact demos, and guide prospects through proof-of-concept stages. A key part of the role involves ensuring solution alignment across integrations, data flows, and security requirements in highly regulated public-sector environments. Beyond deal execution, you will contribute to scalable sales assets, demo environments, and enablement materials that elevate team performance. This is a high-impact position for a domain expert who thrives at the intersection of education, technology, and solution strategy.
Accountabilities:
- Lead complex solution design efforts by partnering with Sales teams during discovery to understand customer needs, validate technical requirements, and shape solution strategy across K–12 opportunities.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for assigned product domains, guiding multi-product pursuits and ensuring alignment between customer requirements and platform capabilities.
- Design and deliver tailored demos, workshops, and proofs of concept that clearly demonstrate value to technical and non-technical education stakeholders.
- Translate functional and technical requirements into actionable solution configurations, including integrations, data flows, security, scalability, and compliance considerations.
- Support and contribute to RFP/RFI responses, ensuring accurate, compelling, and buyer-aligned technical documentation.
- Maintain and optimize demo environments, reusable assets, scenario libraries, and runbooks to support consistent and high-quality sales execution.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Sales, and Enablement teams to provide feedback from the field and improve solution positioning and content.
- Support post-sale handoff activities to ensure smooth transitions to implementation and customer success teams.
- 8+ years of experience in Solution Consulting, Sales Engineering, Implementation, or similar roles within SaaS or K–12 education technology environments.
- Strong understanding of K–12 buyer personas and technical domains such as ERP, talent systems, or related education platforms.
- Proven experience leading complex technical demos and validating solutions with senior stakeholders (e.g., CIOs, CFOs, CHROs).
- Hands-on knowledge of integrations, APIs, data flows, and identity/security standards such as SAML, OIDC, Ed-Fi, OneRoster, or similar frameworks.
- Experience contributing to RFP/RFI processes and working within public-sector or education procurement environments.
- Ability to build reusable demo assets, frameworks, and enablement tools that improve team performance and consistency.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear business value for non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency using CRM systems such as Salesforce for tracking opportunities, insights, and MEDDPICC-related information.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple complex sales cycles simultaneously.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Competitive base salary range of $63,500–$145,900 USD, based on experience and qualifications.
