DESCRIPTION:
Join our collaborative team at Thermo Fisher Scientific as Regional Market Development Specialist, Cell Biology, Asia Pacific & Japan (APJ) for the Biosciences Division. This position is responsible for driving the strategic portfolio of Cell Culture Ecosystems (CCEco), to achieve AOP targets through efficient product management, go-to-market strategy, portfolio positioning, omni-channel demand generation, and commercial team enablement across the region. The CCEco portfolio includes Cell Culture Essentials (CCE), Cell Culture Plastics (CCP), Cancer, Primary, and Absorption, Distribution, Metabolism, and Excretion (ADME) range of cell culture solutions.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Lead annual marketing planning for CCEco portfolio, aligned with Cell Biology business unit objectives and global growth priorities

  • Lead go-to-market strategy, using segmentation, competitor analysis, customer insights and market trends, to ensure effective market entry, adoption, and scalability across the regions

  • Be a portfolio leader. Partner closely with Global Product Management, Territory Marketing, Region Commercial (TSS, BDM, BAM), Sales & Marketing Operations to influence portfolio strategy and innovation roadmap decisions

  • Drive alignment between strategic direction and tactical execution to deliver on near-term revenue acceleration while building long-term market growth

  • Drive demand generation through customer-centric campaigns that lead to revenue, improved customer engagement, and sales growth.

  • Own and deliver regional bottom- and top-line revenue targets, regional pricing & discount guidelines for the competitive environment. Support the commercial teams to deliver targets through supporting sales specific initiatives.

  • Track marketing KPIs and performance metrics, voice of customers (VOC) and voice of sales (VOS) to evaluate business impact, optimize strategies, and inform future growth initiatives

HOW WILL YOU GET THERE?

Required: Bachelor’s degree in life sciences/ business or marketing with 3+ years in a strategic/tactical marketing role. At least 3 years of experience in a regional or multi-countries role, with oversight of diverse markets and business cultures.

Preferred: Background in life sciences, including cell culture lab experience or product management. Familiarity with working through distributors / channel partners is an advantage.  

  • Proven experience in strategic marketing or market development of high-volume, fast-moving consumables in the life sciences industry

  • Strong marketing performance history shown through revenue impact via effective go-to-market campaigns and omni-channel tactical execution, including but not limited to:

    • Competitive displacement programs

    • Pricing and value positioning strategies

    • Conversion programs

    • Loyalty programs
       

  • Demonstrated ability to drive both immediate commercial outcomes and long-term strategic growth

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights for the portfolio.

  • Leverage data-driven insights to craft compelling business narratives that inform, influence and persuade both global and APJ marketing and commercial leadership teams 

  • Collaborative ability to work on problems of diverse scope in a large matrix environment. Track record of influencing cross-functional stakeholders and establishing partnership with others to implement efficient solutions.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Familiarity with PowerBI dashboard, Marketing Automation and CRM tools

  • Basic working knowledge of digital marketing platforms and campaign execution

  • Strong stakeholder management through high cultural agility and ability to influence without authority

  • Strong attention to detail and capability to run multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strong (written and verbal) communication skills and ability to influence both internal and external customers. Effectively communicate go-to-market strategies, metrics, successes, failures, etc. to the organization.

  • Strong financial skills and the ability to tie strategies and actions to results.
