SAP Security Consultant

This role sits at the core of safeguarding mission-critical SAP environments, ensuring secure and uninterrupted business operations across complex enterprise systems. You will act as a key production support specialist, resolving high-priority security incidents (P1/P2) while maintaining strict SLA adherence. The position involves close collaboration with BASIS, functional, audit, and business teams to troubleshoot and resolve authorization issues efficiently. You will play a vital role in maintaining robust access controls, role integrity, and compliance standards across SAP landscapes. The environment is fast-paced, enterprise-scale, and highly collaborative, requiring both technical depth and strong stakeholder engagement. Accountabilities
You will be responsible for ensuring stable and secure SAP operations by managing high-severity incidents, user access, and authorization frameworks across enterprise systems.
- Handle P1 and P2 production incidents related to SAP Security and Authorizations, ensuring timely resolution within SLA/KPI targets.
- Perform root cause analysis, impact assessment, and escalation management for critical security issues, ensuring recurrence prevention.
- Manage user administration activities including creation, modification, deletion, password resets, and access troubleshooting.
- Support role and authorization maintenance using SAP tools such as PFCG, SU53, ST01, and SUIM, ensuring accurate access provisioning.
- Design, modify, and maintain SAP roles (single, composite, and derived) aligned with Segregation of Duties and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including BASIS, audit, and business stakeholders during incident resolution and access reviews.
- Support emergency access processes, user lifecycle management, and periodic access remediation activities.
- 6–8 years of experience in SAP Security and Authorizations, including production support for enterprise environments.
- Strong expertise in SAP role management, user administration, and authorization troubleshooting using tools like SU53, ST01, SUIM, and PFCG.
- Solid understanding of SAP security concepts including role design, authorization objects, profile generation, and user lifecycle management.
- Experience handling critical production incidents and resolving P1/P2 issues within strict SLA timelines.
- Knowledge of Segregation of Duties (SoD), audit compliance, and enterprise access control frameworks.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and clear communication skills to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field.
