Individual Contributor Responsible to proactively manages the procurement of Support/Consumables/3PP materials from a global supply base. These materials distributed to various locations to support the worldwide field requirements. The primary responsibility of this position is managing the assurance of supply of these materials. The accountability is from product introduction through product obsolescence.
Assures the procurement and inventory management of high technology or life sciences production and/or non-manufacturing materials, equipment and/or services in accordance with supply chain optimization and management objectives. Effectively manage Third Party Purchases (3PP) Process. Coordinates material sourcing for new product introduction (NPI) projects, in collaboration with R&D. Establishes and manages supplier relationships including prices, monitoring supplier performance, selecting/analyzing the supply base and developing and executing the commodity plans. May manage contract manufacturer (CM) or original design manufacturer (ODM) relationships to ensure inventory optimization. May be responsible for contributing to or leading process improvement efforts, such as in new product introduction (NPI), resourcing, cost reduction and/or quality. May have global responsibility and/or support multiple sites.
Works on procurement assignments with clearly defined objectives.

Assurance of Supply and Supplier Relationships:
Establish and maintain a professional working relationship with suppliers.
Set clear delivery expectations and manage to these expectations.
Manage the material forecasting to suppliers.
Expedite to ensure continual flow of materials.
Ensure that accurate information is received, understood and acted upon by suppliers.
Collaboratively address process related issues with suppliers.
Periodically evaluate suppliers to ensure that expectations are being met.
Effectively communicate Agilent requirements and business needs.
Coach suppliers to improve performance.
Escalate issues as needed.
Material and Order Management:
Analyze MRP for accuracy and provide feedback to Planning
Determine the order release methodology to be used to control orders.
Establish and maintaining SAP part parameters. (Material Master, Source List, Information Records and Inventory Controls)
Resolve material disruptions issues. Complete a root cause analysis.
Develop and implement inventory management plans for assigned parts.
Manage inventory accuracy for consignment materials used for subcontracted assemblies at suppliers locations.
Maintain purchase order regulatory compliance. (SOX compliance)
Maintain cost standards and analyze variances in SAP.
Effectively manage part piece price. (e.g. volume discounts, payment terms, process improvements).
Reconcile receiving and accounts payable problems. (India Hub)
Manage the return of non-conforming material to suppliers.
Manage excess material inventories and properly dispose of excess materials.
Process ECO’s in a timely manner.
Analyze and correct problems within the processes used to procure materials.
Effectively communicate with the world-wide order fulfillment organization.
Effectively escalate material issues to the commodity manager and procurement management team.
Working Within a Global Procurement Organization:
Participate in global team meetings (face to face and virtual meeting) as needed.
Work closely with global counterparts to meet operational needs.
Participate in the development and implementation of the commodity strategy
Manage worldwide supplier base to ensure operational objectives are accomplished.
Compile and analysis data for the supplier feedback and TQRDCE feedback.
Coach and mentor coworkers to facilitate personal growth of others.
Train and /or mentor new supply managers.
Share best practices with the global team.
Working within a “World Wide Controller Model” work across world time zones to:
Correctly position global inventories of materials
Escalate material issues across the CDG Global Procurement Organization and supply base.
Effectively communicate material issues and corrective actions to the world wide LSA OF team and global supply base.
In addition to the above:
Help train and give guidance to new Supply Mangers
Routine presentation of department information
Plans and coordinates internal projects including other’s involvement
Uses judgment to determine appropriate action and make recommendations to daily work improvement areas
Effectively deal with some unfamiliar issues, challenges and problems within area of o responsibility
Provide internal customers with the highest quality of services
Understand and apply appropriate quality improvement processes
Adhere to and promote the Agilent Values

Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent.
Post-graduate, certification, and/or license may be required.
7-8 years Procurement/Supply Management experience – preferably with experience in sourcing direct and Indirect material
