This role combines supplier quality management and supplier development (sourcing) for electronic commodities.
You will work closely with global teams to drive supplier quality, introduce new suppliers, and support cost and technology improvements.
The scope includes PCA, Interconnect, Display and Power commodities.
The primary duties and responsibilities will be
Supplier Quality Management (~ 50%)
• Define the quality requirements (quality goals/limits, metrics), and conduct assessments to ensure all requirements are met.
• Lead supplier audits, Drives corrective action, preventive actions, and verifications.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive & coach suppliers for quality improvement
• Manage supplier-related changes (PCN, EOL, process change, factory transfer, etc.)
• Utilize the digital tools to improve vendor management in quality, efficiency and cost to drive the transformation to smart factory
Supplier Development / Sourcing (~ 50%)
• Analyze the existing sole source supplier risk, develop existing suppliers or source new suppliers for supply resilience and total cost reduction.
• Evaluate supplier technical capability and identify gaps, then develop improvement initiatives to close these gaps by leveraging technical resources, specialized expertise and proven best practices from both Agilent and suppliers. Align joint technology roadmaps to build up the robust supplier base.
• Keep abreast of technology trends and development plans in assigned commodities
The required qualifications are as below:
Must-have
Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or a related technical field with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on SQE experience focusing on electronic commodities; or Master’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant electronic commodity SQE experience.
Familiar with electronic components or assemblies (e.g. PCB/PCA, Interconnect, display, power).
Strong knowledge on quality tools of 8D, FMEA, control plan, lean production, etc.
Proficient in written, spoken and reading English for daily communication.
Willing to travel up to 25% of working time.
Nice-to-have
Hands-on experience in electronic commodity supplier development / sourcing / new supplier introduction.
Basic understanding on “should-cost” of electronic components or assemblies (e.g. PCB/PCA, connectors, display, power).
Prior experience visiting international suppliers.
Exposure to EMS / ODM / electronics manufacturing.
Solid project management capabilities.

This job has a full time weekly schedule.Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
