Overview
Role summary The Senior Procurement Manager is responsible for leading strategic sourcing and procurement activities across multiple categories to maximize commercial value, reduce total cost of ownership, ensure supply continuity, and support business objectives. This role will manage a team, collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders, and drive supplier performance and innovation.
What you’ll do
Key responsibilities Strategy & Category Management
Define and execute category strategies aligned to business goals, including demand forecasting, market intelligence, and supplier segmentation.
Develop multi-year sourcing plans, prioritizing high-impact opportunities.
Sourcing & Contracting
Lead complex sourcing events (RFX, RFPs, RFIs), supplier selection, total cost analysis, and contract negotiations.
Establish commercial terms, SLAs, and contractual frameworks that protect the business and enable flexibility.
Supplier Relationship & Performance
Build and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers; conduct regular business reviews and performance assessments.
Implement supplier scorecards, KPIs, and continuous improvement plans.
Risk, Compliance & Governance
Identify and mitigate supply chain risks including financial, geopolitical, quality, and continuity risks.
Ensure procurement activities comply with policies, regulatory requirements, and corporate ethics standards.
Oversee procurement approvals, delegation of authority, and audit readiness.
Leadership & Collaboration
Lead, mentor, and develop procurement team members; set objectives and monitor performance.
Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders (operations, finance, engineering, product, legal) to influence demand, specifications, and sourcing timelines.
Analytics & Continuous Improvement
Use spend analytics and market insights to identify savings opportunities and optimize supplier base.
Drive automation, process standardization, and adoption of procurement tools.
Financial & Commercial Outcomes
Deliver cost savings, margin improvement, improved payment and cash terms, and reduction in total cost of ownership.
Manage category budgets and support financial planning.
What we are looking for
Required qualifications & experience
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Engineering or related field. Master’s or MBA is a plus.
Minimum 8 years of progressive procurement experience, including 3+ years in a managerial or senior/category lead role.
Experience managing indirect and/or direct procurement categories relevant to the business.
Demonstrated success leading strategic sourcing and complex negotiations.
Experience with ERP and procurement platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Coupa, Ariba) and spend analytics tools.
Strong commercial acumen, analytical capability, and stakeholder management skills.

The annual salary range for this position is $120,334.55 - $151,665.44
The salary range information provided, reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, certifications or licenses and other relevant factors. In addition, this role will be eligible to participate in either the annual performance bonus or commission program, determined by the nature of the position.
