How will you make an impact?

As part of the APAC Procurement organization, the Sr. Procurement Specialist, Electrical Category supports the execution of category strategies across India and the broader region.

This role focuses on driving sourcing initiatives, supplier development, and operational execution across the Electrical category including Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBA), system integration, cable harness, and OEM electrical products – motors, power supplies.

You will partner with Global Category Managers, Division Business Partners, Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams to ensure alignment with business objectives, while delivering cost savings, supplier performance improvements, and supply continuity.

What will you do?

Scale of Responsibilities

  • Leads and executes category initiatives across India to deliver key performance indicators, including cost savings, supplier consolidation, and risk mitigation
  • Supports implementation of 3–5 year sourcing strategies aligned with APAC and global category direction
  • Identifies and develops local and regional suppliers in India to support business growth and localization strategies
  • Conducts spend analysis and develop business cases to drive sourcing decisions and value creation
  • Prepares and delivers presentations to communicate sourcing initiatives, progress, and impact to stakeholders

Technical Responsibilities

  • Executes sourcing strategies for Electrical category, including PCBA, integration, cable harness, power supplies, motors and related electrical categories
  • Leverages AQSCIR method to develop and drive 3 to 5 year sourcing strategies focused on identifying and contracting with suppliers that meet category management goals
  • Supports supplier qualification, RFQ/RFP processes, negotiations, and contract implementation
  • Monitors market intelligence (cost trends, capacity, supply risks) and supports category strategy refinement
  • Analyzes supplier performance data and drives continuous improvement initiatives (quality, delivery, cost)
  • Participate in supplier business reviews to ensure performance against contractual and operational expectations

Leadership Responsibilities

  • Drives adoption of regional sourcing strategies and ensures strong cross-functional collaboration
  • Partners with Division Business Partners and functional teams to gather business requirements and support category execution
  • Champions the use of procurement tools (eSourcing, spend analytics, P2P systems)
  • Establishes effective communication with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and visibility of sourcing impact

How will you get here?

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain, or related field
  • Minimum 7 years of procurement/sourcing experience in a matrixed organization
  • Experience managing suppliers across Electrical categories, including PCBAs, cable assemblies, electromechanical assemblies, power supplies, motors, or OEM electrical products.
  • Experience managing EMS suppliers; prior experience working within EMS (Tier 1 and 2) preferred
  • Strong understanding of contract manufacturing cost structures
  • Experience working with or developing suppliers in India and APAC regions
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally in a complex organization
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and project management skills
  • Ability to operate in an ambiguous environment and make sound decisions
