DESCRIPTION:
Join Thermo Fisher Scientific, the world leader in serving science, as a Procurement Manager, - EM/CM, you'll lead complex category strategies while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver continuous improvement in spend management. You'll develop and execute 3-5 year sourcing strategies, negotiate strategic contracts, and build strong supplier relationships that drive value through quality, cost optimization, and innovation. Working closely with Division Business Partners, Quality, Operations, R&D, and Business leaders, you'll ensure category strategies align with organizational objectives while building organizational strength through mentoring and developing procurement talent.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree plus minimum 8+ years of experience in procurement/sourcing in matrix organizations with increasing responsibilities
Preferred Fields of Study: Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related technical field
Experience with box build/Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) / Contract Manufacturer preferred
Professional certifications preferred (CPSM, PMP, Six Sigma)
Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing processes and category management principles
Demonstrated success in achieving cost savings targets
Experience working in highly regulated industries, preferably life sciences, medical device, or pharmaceutical
Strong negotiation and contract management skills
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across multiple regions
Strong analytical and financial capabilities to assess market dynamics and business requirements
Experience in project management and cross-functional team leadership
Proficiency with procurement systems, ERP platforms, and Microsoft Office suite
Experience with continuous improvement methodologies
Strong communication and presentation skills
Ability to travel 10-20% as required
