Location Specific Information:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Analyst - Employee Expenses and Corporate Cards to join our dynamic team at Global Business Services (GBS), part of Thermo Fisher Scientific. The successful candidate will be a key member of our finance team, specifically focusing on Employee Expense Management and Corporate Credit Card program administration, including card lifecycle support, compliance monitoring, and stakeholder coordination. The Finance Analyst will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of our expense and corporate credit card processes, contributing to the financial health and operational excellence of the organization.

The role will be based in the Procure to Pay department with the possibility for promotion into other areas within the Team or within the department where qualifications and deeper accounting knowledge are developed.
 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Audit and process employee expense reports within the company ERP system, ensuring compliance with local accounting regulations, approval workflows, and Thermo Fisher Scientific internal policies and procedures.
  • Provide support and guidance to employees and cardholders on expense and corporate card-related queries through various communication channels.
  • Administer end-to-end corporate credit card processes, including card applications, cancellations, limit or profile changes, cardholder queries, payments, salary deductions, reconciliations, and data maintenance.
  • Ensure all assigned activities are completed in line with agreed KPIs, SLAs, and strict deadlines.
  • Follow company policies, approval matrices, compliance requirements, and internal controls strictly; escalate exceptions, risks, and overdue items in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate corporate card master data, documentation, and audit trail for cardholder setup, changes, closures, and related approvals.
  • Advise and guide employees, cardholders, and approvers on expense and corporate card policies, procedures, and required supporting documentation.
  • Prepare detailed reports and analyses on expense trends, card usage, variances, aging items, and compliance metrics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements, strengthen controls, and streamline workflows related to employee expenses and corporate cards.
  • Support Accounts Payable (AP) for month-end closing activities. 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics/finance/accounting or higher.
     

Experience:

  • At least 3+ years of experience in an international corporate environment, preferably within the Finance area; experience with employee expenses, corporate cards, or bank-facing processes is considered a strong advantage. 

 Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Excellent in English (verbal and written).
  • High level of integrity and ability to follow company policies and confidential data handling requirements strictly.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment while meeting agreed KPIs, SLAs, and strict deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy in financial record-keeping, cardholder data maintenance, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Strong time management, organizational, follow-up, and escalation skills.
