This role sits at the center of global sourcing strategy, driving how critical supply categories are developed, managed, and optimized to support advanced manufacturing and technology innovation. You will take ownership of end-to-end category strategy, shaping supplier ecosystems that directly enable high-performance semiconductor and capital equipment production. Working closely with engineering, operations, finance, and supply chain teams, you will translate complex technical needs into scalable sourcing strategies. The position requires a strong balance of strategic thinking, market intelligence, and commercial leadership to ensure supply continuity and cost competitiveness. You will also play a key role in building long-term supplier partnerships that foster innovation and operational resilience. Accountabilities:
- Own and evolve end-to-end category strategy for a global sourcing portfolio, ensuring alignment with business growth, innovation, and operational needs.
- Develop multi-year category roadmaps focused on cost optimization, supply resilience, and scalability.
- Conduct deep market intelligence analysis, including supplier landscapes, cost structures, capacity trends, and emerging technologies.
- Partner with engineering, operations, quality, finance, and supply chain teams to align sourcing strategies with product and technology requirements.
- Lead supplier selection, development, performance management, and continuous improvement initiatives across a global supply base.
- Drive complex negotiations and establish commercial agreements that balance cost efficiency with long-term strategic partnerships.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate supply chain risks including capacity constraints, single-source dependencies, and geopolitical exposure.
- Present category strategies, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership to support informed decision-making.
- 12+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management within manufacturing or technology-driven environments.
- 5+ years of experience owning global category strategies with end-to-end accountability.
- Strong background in category management, supplier development, and complex commercial negotiations.
- Proven ability to translate technical and engineering requirements into effective sourcing strategies.
- Strong analytical skills including cost modeling, financial analysis, and market intelligence interpretation.
- Experience working with global supplier networks in fast-paced, complex supply chain environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
