The Church Stretton Chemistries Centre of Excellence specializes in the design and manufacture of silica and polymeric particles for diagnostics, solid-phase synthesis, and chromatographic applications. Our products support a wide range of industries including biopharmaceuticals, diagnostics, food safety, environmental testing, academia, chemicals, and advanced materials.

The products you help manufacture will have a meaningful impact on improving quality of life globally. From supporting cancer and disease diagnostics to enabling mRNA vaccine development and antibody analysis, your work will contribute to technologies that make a real difference.

We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Chemistry Manufacturing Technician to join our growing team. This role offers the opportunity to work with large-scale chemical manufacturing processes, producing specialist materials used in life science and analytical applications worldwide.

What You'll Do:

Following comprehensive training, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Working in accordance with Health & Safety and Quality Management System requirements (ISO 9001:2015)
  • Preparing, calibrating, and setting up equipment and raw materials for production activities
  • Operating and monitoring large-scale chemical manufacturing processes
  • Manufacturing and processing products in accordance with documented procedures
  • Accurately recording production activities, material movements, and process deviations
  • Maintaining high standards of quality, housekeeping, and safety within the production environment
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency and product quality

Qualifications

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and has an interest in chemical manufacturing.

You will ideally have:

  • A degree in Chemistry or relevant experience in a laboratory or manufacturing environment
  • Strong practical skills and attention to detail
  • The ability to follow procedures accurately and maintain high quality standards
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn

Previous experience with large-scale chemical processes in a manufacturing or laboratory setting is advantageous but not essential. With the right attitude, practical skills, and attention to detail, our comprehensive training programme will ensure your success.

This job has a full time weekly schedule.

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
