This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced KYC and compliance operations leader to drive the evolution of customer onboarding and due diligence processes within a fast-paced, technology-driven environment. Accountabilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of KYC Operations Analysts, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee customer onboarding, Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), sanctions screening, risk assessments, and ongoing monitoring activities across multiple products and services.
  • Define and monitor team KPIs, performance metrics, and operational reporting to ensure quality, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
  • Own quality assurance processes, conducting reviews and implementing corrective actions to maintain high standards of operational excellence.
  • Design, document, and continuously improve KYC workflows, procedures, and operating models to support scalability and consistency.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering teams to identify automation opportunities, optimize tooling, and enhance onboarding experiences.
  • Collaborate closely with Compliance and Legal stakeholders to translate regulatory requirements into practical operational processes.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and escalation point for KYC-related matters, customer reviews, and operational decision-making.
  • Manage relationships with identity verification vendors and support performance monitoring, workflow enhancements, and change management initiatives.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and cross-functional initiatives that strengthen compliance operations and support business growth.
  • Requirements

    • Minimum 5 years of experience in KYC, AML, financial crime operations, compliance, fintech, payments, financial services, or related sectors.
    • Demonstrated experience leading or managing operational teams with responsibility for performance, coaching, and team development.
    • Strong expertise in customer due diligence (CDD), enhanced due diligence (EDD), sanctions screening, politically exposed persons (PEP) reviews, risk assessments, and ongoing monitoring processes.
    • Proven ability to design and improve operational workflows while translating complex regulatory requirements into scalable procedures.
    • Experience defining KPIs, analyzing operational data, and using insights to drive process improvements and business outcomes.
    • Strong stakeholder management skills with experience collaborating across Compliance, Legal, Product, Engineering, and Operations functions.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with senior leadership and external partners.
    • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving capabilities, and a continuous improvement mindset.
    • Familiarity with compliance technology platforms, case management tools, and operational automation solutions is highly desirable.
    • Experience within cryptocurrency, blockchain, Web3, digital assets, or rapidly scaling fintech environments is considered an advantage.
