This role is a senior technical leadership position focused on designing and evolving modern cloud-based data architectures that power enterprise-scale analytics and business decision-making.
You will define how data is structured, integrated, secured, and made accessible across complex environments, enabling organizations to unlock value from diverse data sources.
Working closely with engineering, analytics, and business stakeholders, you will translate strategic requirements into scalable, high-performance data solutions.
The position requires deep expertise in cloud platforms and data engineering ecosystems, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Azure services.
You will also guide architectural decisions across multiple projects, ensuring consistency, reliability, and long-term scalability of data systems.
This is a high-impact role for a seasoned architect who thrives in complex environments and enjoys shaping enterprise data strategy.

Accountabilities:

Design and implement end-to-end cloud data architectures, translating business requirements into scalable and efficient technical solutions.
Develop data models, schemas, and data flow architectures that optimize storage, processing, and retrieval across cloud environments.
Build and oversee data integration strategies to unify data from multiple sources into cohesive, reliable datasets.
Evaluate, select, and implement appropriate cloud tools and services to support data engineering, analytics, and processing needs.
Collaborate with data engineers, scientists, and business stakeholders to provide architectural guidance and ensure alignment with business goals.
Lead execution of data architecture initiatives, ensuring delivery meets technical standards and business expectations.
Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement across teams.

Requirements:

10+ years of experience in data architecture or similar roles, with strong focus on cloud-based data solutions.
Advanced expertise in Microsoft Azure data ecosystem, including Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure SQL Database.
Strong proficiency in Spark-based technologies, including Python, PySpark, and SparkSQL.
Hands-on experience with data orchestration and automation tools such as Azure Data Factory and Logic Apps.
Solid understanding of cloud storage solutions, particularly Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2.
Experience working with event-driven and streaming data systems such as Kafka and Azure Event Hubs.
Strong knowledge of data security principles and compliance standards such as GDPR and HIPAA.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex architectural challenges.
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.
Microsoft Azure certifications are considered a strong plus.
