This is an outstanding opportunity for a senior data professional to design and optimize enterprise-scale cloud data platforms supporting the Property & Casualty insurance industry. In this role, you will combine data architecture, engineering, and modeling expertise to build scalable Snowflake solutions that power analytics and business intelligence. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize data ecosystems, improve performance, and ensure high standards for governance and security. Working in a fully remote environment, you will play a key role in transforming complex insurance data into reliable, business-ready assets. This position is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of cloud technologies, data engineering, and enterprise architecture.

Accountabilities

  • Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical enterprise data models that support reporting, analytics, and operational business processes.
  • Build and optimize Snowflake data architectures, implementing scalable schemas, clustering strategies, materialized views, and performance tuning initiatives.
  • Translate complex business requirements into efficient data models using dimensional modeling techniques, including Star and Snowflake schemas.
  • Collaborate with data engineering teams to design and implement robust ELT/ETL pipelines and modern data lakehouse architectures using Medallion principles.
  • Model and integrate Guidewire data across PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter, underwriting, policy administration, claims, billing, and customer domains.
  • Design cloud-native data ingestion frameworks leveraging AWS services while ensuring seamless integration across enterprise data platforms.
  • Establish and maintain enterprise data governance standards, including data quality, metadata management, lineage, security, compliance, and role-based access controls.
  • Partner with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions that support strategic insurance initiatives.
  • Requirements

    • 8+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Modeling, or Data Engineering within enterprise environments.
    • Strong expertise in conceptual, logical, physical, and dimensional data modeling, including Star Schema and Snowflake Schema design.
    • Extensive hands-on experience with Snowflake architecture, data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuning.
    • Advanced SQL development skills and strong programming experience with Python and PySpark.
    • Proven experience designing and supporting ELT/ETL pipelines and modern cloud-based data platforms.
    • Hands-on experience with AWS technologies, including S3, Glue, and Lambda.
    • Solid understanding of Medallion Architecture and modern data lakehouse concepts.
    • Deep knowledge of Guidewire data models, including PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and BillingCenter.
    • Strong Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance domain expertise, including policy administration, underwriting, claims management, and billing processes.
    • Excellent analytical, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
