Accountabilities:
- Lead end-to-end UX research studies supporting product decisions, selecting appropriate methodologies based on goals, constraints, and timelines.
- Conduct a blend of qualitative and quantitative research including interviews, usability testing, concept validation, surveys, diary studies, and secondary research.
- Drive generative and discovery research initiatives to identify emerging user needs, opportunity spaces, and future-state product directions.
- Synthesize findings across multiple data sources to uncover deep behavioral insights, motivations, and root causes behind user actions.
- Translate research insights into clear recommendations that inform product strategy, design direction, and roadmap prioritization.
- Communicate findings through compelling readouts, one-pagers, and presentations tailored to product, design, engineering, and leadership stakeholders.
- Build and maintain customer experience measurement frameworks that track satisfaction, behavior, and product impact over time.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to ensure research is embedded in decision-making processes.
- Leverage AI-enabled tools to support research workflows such as synthesis, tagging, transcription, and insight organization while ensuring accuracy and rigor.
- Contribute to research practice development by sharing frameworks, mentoring peers, and improving team methodologies.
- 4–6+ years of UX research experience, including a mix of agency, consultancy, or innovation-focused environments and in-house product teams.
- Strong expertise in qualitative research methods such as interviews, usability testing, concept testing, and diary studies, with exposure to quantitative approaches.
- Experience working in ambiguous, early-stage problem spaces and defining research direction in 0-to-1 or exploratory contexts.
- Proven ability to synthesize complex qualitative data into clear, actionable insights focused on user motivations and behaviors.
- Strong understanding of product development cycles, agile environments, and how research influences decision-making.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present insights clearly to cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to independently scope studies and select appropriate methodologies for each research question.
- Collaborative working style with strong stakeholder management and expectation-setting skills.
- Curiosity about consumer behavior in home-related services and interest in improving real-world user experiences.
- Comfort working with AI-assisted research workflows and interest in emerging AI-powered product experiences.
