What you’ll be doing…
We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Assured Build team, engineering and scaling secure, automated solutions across LBG.
This role is focused on building the engineering capability that underpins Assured Build - building automation, integrating security baselines into engineering workflows, and enabling secure-by-design delivery by embedding Security Relevant Configuration (SRC) controls into code, pipelines, and platform tooling. You'll develop and enhance services that reduce manual effort, improve consistency, and increase coverage of security assurance across infrastructure and software.
Working in an agile, DevOps-led environment, you’ll contribute to enterprise-scale automation (including CI/CD integration, tooling, and data-driven reporting) to deliver resilient, scalable, and frictionless security outcomes.
We support teams by…
Assuring security configurations in both static build artefacts and CI/CD pipelines
Driving greater automation, consistency, and reuse of security artefacts
Embedding security earlier into the engineering lifecycle
This is an opportunity to work at the innovative forefront of secure-by-design engineering, helping to embed security seamlessly into how technology is built and delivered.

What we’re looking for?

You'll bring…
Experience in software engineering and DevOps practices, ideally within a large-scale or enterprise environment
Experience with scripting and programming languages (e.g. Python, JavaScript, PowerShell) and working with pipelines or automation tooling
Hands-on technical experience with the ability to write, fix, and improve code
A broad understanding of cyber security domains, including cloud security (Azure and/or GCP)
An outcome-focused approach, with the ability to deliver end-to-end solutions while maintaining attention to detail
A strong understanding of secure-by-design principles across the development lifecycle
A passion for automating repetitive tasks and improving engineering efficiency
Clear understanding of containerisation technologies and associated tooling (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and repository-based workflows (e.g. GitHub or similar)
And any experience of these would be great..
Exposure to vulnerability scanning, configuration assurance, or security tooling
Working with databases and data-driven solutions
Building automation or workflow solutions (e.g. Power Platform)
