Senior Mulesoft Developer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior MuleSoft Developer based in Canada.

This role is centered on designing and delivering scalable enterprise integration solutions that connect mission-critical systems across complex organizational environments.
You will take ownership of MuleSoft-based API and integration architecture, ensuring reliability, security, and long-term scalability across platforms.
The position requires strong technical leadership, with influence over design decisions and engineering standards in a collaborative, cross-functional setting.
You will work closely with both technical teams and business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust, future-proof integration solutions.
This is a senior individual contributor role with high impact, where your work directly improves system connectivity and enterprise data flow.
You will also mentor engineers and help elevate overall engineering quality across integration teams and delivery practices.

Accountabilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end integration solutions using MuleSoft and related API technologies across enterprise systems.
  • Define and enforce integration architecture standards, ensuring scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions.
  • Translate business requirements into technical designs in collaboration with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Lead solution design reviews, troubleshoot complex integration challenges, and drive resolution of system issues.
  • Improve reliability, performance, and scalability of enterprise integration platforms and APIs.
  • Mentor and guide less experienced engineers, promoting best practices in development and design.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure alignment between business goals and technical implementation.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of integration engineering processes and delivery practices.
  • Requirements:

    • 8+ years of experience in enterprise integration development, with strong hands-on expertise in MuleSoft (including DataWeave).
    • Deep knowledge of REST and SOAP APIs, event-driven architecture, and enterprise integration patterns.
    • Proven experience designing and delivering complex, scalable integration solutions in large enterprise environments.
    • Strong understanding of API security, system architecture, and distributed systems.
    • Experience mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction in collaborative environments.
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
    • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
    • Nice to have: Salesforce integration experience, Kafka, telephony systems (e.g., Five9), or enterprise modernization initiatives.
    • Nice to have: prior experience as a Technical Lead or Solution Architect.
