Senior Cloud Engineer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer based in India.

This role is centered on designing and delivering scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud solutions for enterprise clients undergoing complex digital transformation. You will work across multi-cloud environments, translating business requirements into robust technical architectures that leverage modern automation and infrastructure practices. Operating in a highly collaborative consulting environment, you will engage directly with stakeholders to define solution approaches, guide implementation strategy, and ensure successful delivery of cloud migration and modernization initiatives. The role combines hands-on engineering with architectural ownership, requiring strong expertise in automation, DevOps, and cloud-native design. You will contribute to building resilient systems across GCP, AWS, and Azure while applying best practices in security, performance, and scalability. This is a high-impact position for engineers who enjoy solving complex challenges and delivering enterprise-grade cloud solutions at scale.

Accountabilities:

  • Design, build, and implement scalable cloud solutions across multi-cloud environments, ensuring performance, security, and reliability
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to gather requirements, define technical approaches, and support project planning and execution
  • Develop infrastructure-as-code solutions and automation using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and similar frameworks
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, enabling efficient deployment, testing, and release management practices
  • Design cloud migration strategies and execute modernization initiatives for enterprise workloads
  • Implement secure, scalable, and high-availability architectures across distributed systems and cloud platforms
  • Develop and maintain containerized environments using Kubernetes and related orchestration tools
  • Contribute to technical design documentation and support architecture decisions for complex cloud projects
  • Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives
  • Provide technical leadership, troubleshooting support, and performance optimization recommendations across projects
  • Requirements:

    • Strong hands-on experience with major cloud platforms including Google Cloud Platform (GCP), AWS, and Microsoft Azure
    • 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure-focused roles
    • Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Go, Java, or similar
    • Strong expertise in infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Packer, Vault, or Pulumi
    • Experience with CI/CD tools and platforms such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or ArgoCD
    • Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes (including Helm)
    • Experience in Linux/Windows system administration and performance tuning
    • Strong knowledge of cloud security principles including identity management, encryption, and access control
    • Familiarity with messaging and streaming systems such as Kafka or Pub/Sub
    • Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments with strong collaboration skills
    • Preferred: exposure to AI-assisted development tools, MLOps, or AI-driven automation workflows
    • Preferred: experience with on-premise environments and hybrid cloud architectures
