Member of Accounting, Finance Transformation & Strategic Initiatives

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Member of Accounting, Finance Transformation & Strategic Initiatives based in the United States.

This role sits at the intersection of finance, technology, and strategic transformation within a high-growth digital asset environment. You will help design and execute the finance transformation roadmap, translating complex accounting and operational needs into scalable, audit-ready systems and processes. Acting as a key connector between Accounting, Engineering, Product, and broader business teams, you will ensure financial infrastructure evolves in step with rapid organizational growth. The role also involves supporting high-impact strategic initiatives, from planning through execution, across new and evolving business lines. You will play a critical part in improving automation, data flows, and financial controls in a highly regulated and fast-moving industry. Strong cross-functional communication and stakeholder management are essential to success. This is a high-visibility role with direct impact on the scalability and integrity of financial operations.

Accountabilities:

  • Own and drive finance transformation and strategic initiative workstreams, translating business and technical requirements into structured roadmaps and measurable outcomes.
  • Design and implement scalable, audit-ready finance solutions in collaboration with Engineering and Finance teams, improving processes, controls, and reporting infrastructure.
  • Manage execution of cross-functional finance initiatives, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and dependencies are clearly tracked and met.
  • Partner with Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Product, and Engineering teams to evaluate current-state processes and define future-state operating models.
  • Support the launch and scaling of new business initiatives by coordinating finance-related planning and operational readiness.
  • Produce clear, high-quality documentation and executive-ready materials to communicate initiative status, risks, and recommendations.
  • Facilitate cross-functional alignment and communication across all phases of transformation projects, ensuring transparency on scope and progress.
  • Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field; CPA or progress toward CPA preferred.
    • Experience in fintech, digital assets, or high-growth technology environments strongly preferred.
    • Background in accounting operations, finance transformation, or financial systems/process improvement.
    • Strong project management skills with the ability to drive complex, cross-functional initiatives from design through execution.
    • Familiarity with financial systems, controls, and scalable reporting or automation solutions.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and executive stakeholders.
    • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced, and evolving environments.
    • Preferred: Big 4 experience, exposure to crypto or exchange environments, and hands-on experience with tools such as NetSuite, FloQast, Workiva, SQL, Python, Looker, or similar analytics platforms.
