This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in supporting and optimizing employee benefits and leave administration within a fast-growing, mission-driven healthcare organization. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate and efficient management of employee benefits programs while providing high-quality support to employees and managers. The position combines operational execution with analytical oversight, including data validation, claims review, and benefits reporting. You will collaborate closely with vendors, finance teams, and internal HR stakeholders to ensure seamless benefits delivery and compliance. This is a highly detail-oriented role suited for someone who thrives in structured environments, enjoys problem-solving, and is passionate about improving employee experience through effective benefits administration.

Accountabilities

  • Administer and support employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, HSA, FSA, and retirement plans.
  • Provide day-to-day support to employees and managers by resolving benefits-related questions, issues, and claims inquiries.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of benefits data, including updates from third-party vendors and internal HR systems.
  • Review and reconcile monthly insurance statements, invoices, and billing discrepancies in coordination with finance and vendors.
  • Maintain enrollment rosters, benefits records, and employee eligibility data across systems.
  • Analyze claims and benefits data to identify trends, inconsistencies, and potential issues, escalating when necessary.
  • Assist employees with filing and managing health, dental, life, and disability-related claims.
  • Support annual benefits enrollment processes, including coordination of meetings and employee communications.
  • Assist in benefits audits, compliance checks, and reporting activities.
  • Contribute to the development of employee communications regarding benefits programs, procedures, and regulatory updates.
  • Support 401(k) administration, ensuring timely and accurate processing of contributions, loans, and system feeds.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve complex benefits issues through to resolution.
  • Assist with compensation analysis, market benchmarking, and job description maintenance as needed.
  • Administer COBRA processes and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • 3–5 years of experience in benefits administration, HR operations, or total rewards within a corporate environment.
    • Strong knowledge of employee benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and retirement plans.
    • Experience working with HRIS systems such as Workday, UltiPro, or similar platforms is highly preferred.
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, with experience managing and analyzing large datasets.
    • Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, especially in resolving benefits discrepancies and vendor issues.
    • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
    • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with employees, vendors, and internal teams.
    • Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving systems, processes, and benefits programs.
    • Some nationwide travel (approximately 10%) may be required.
