This is a senior leadership role responsible for shaping and scaling the people strategy within a fast-growing, distributed organization. You will lead the HR function across multiple disciplines, ensuring that people programs, systems, and policies evolve in step with business growth while preserving a strong, people-first culture. The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution, requiring someone who can move fluidly between executive-level advisory work and operational problem-solving. You will partner closely with senior leadership to align organizational design, talent strategy, and performance systems with long-term business goals. A key part of the role involves building scalable HR infrastructure that supports growth without unnecessary complexity or bureaucracy. This is an opportunity to directly influence how the organization scales its teams, develops leaders, and supports employees across a remote-first environment.

Accountabilities:

Lead the overall HR strategy and function, ensuring alignment between people initiatives and organizational growth while building scalable systems that support a distributed workforce.

  • Develop and own a multi-year HR roadmap covering talent, performance, compensation, employee relations, and HR operations.
  • Partner with executive leadership to translate business priorities into actionable people strategies and measurable outcomes.
  • Scale the HR function by designing processes, tools, and policies that support organizational growth without unnecessary complexity.
  • Oversee HR operations, compliance, employee data management, and policy governance across federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Drive performance management frameworks, including goal setting, feedback processes, career development, and performance improvement systems.
  • Lead compensation and benefits strategy in partnership with Finance and leadership to ensure market competitiveness and internal equity.
  • Manage and develop the HR team, fostering a culture of accountability, service, and continuous improvement.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on employee relations, organizational design, and sensitive people-related matters.
  • Requirements:

    The ideal candidate is an experienced HR leader who has successfully scaled HR functions in high-growth, complex environments and can balance strategic thinking with operational execution.

    • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including senior leadership responsibility in growing or complex organizations.
    • Proven experience scaling HR functions from smaller environments to larger, more structured organizations.
    • Strong background across core HR disciplines including employee relations, compensation, performance management, recruiting, and HR operations.
    • Demonstrated ability to act as a strategic partner to senior executives and influence organizational decisions.
    • Experience in high-growth or fast-scaling environments, with exposure to organizational design and change management.
    • Strong judgment and discretion when handling sensitive employee and leadership matters.
    • Data-driven mindset with the ability to use HR metrics to guide decisions and recommend improvements.
    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex or sensitive topics for diverse audiences.
    • Comfort working in distributed, remote-first environments across multiple time zones.
    • Ability to build scalable yet flexible HR systems that balance structure with agility.
