Job Summary
The Process Engineer is responsible for analysing, designing, and improving operational processes to enhance efficiency, productivity, quality, and cost performance. The role works closely with Operations, Planning, Quality, and Continuous Improvement teams to identify process improvement opportunities, implement solutions, and drive operational excellence across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Process Improvement
Analyse existing operational processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
Develop and implement process improvement initiatives to increase productivity, reduce waste, and improve service levels.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Support continuous improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other improvement methodologies.
Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process documentation.
Data Analysis & Reporting
Collect, analyse, and interpret operational data to identify trends and performance gaps.
Develop reports, dashboards, and KPIs to monitor operational performance.
Use data-driven insights to recommend process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
Conduct time studies, workflow analysis, and capacity planning assessments.
Project Management
Lead and support process improvement and operational excellence projects.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of new processes.
Manage project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communications.
Support business expansion, automation, and system implementation projects.
Quality & Compliance
Ensure operational processes comply with company standards, health and safety requirements, and regulatory obligations.
Participate in audits and process reviews.
Support the implementation of quality management and continuous improvement frameworks.
Training & Stakeholder Management
Train employees and managers on new processes and best practices.
Work closely with Operations, HR, Finance, IT, and external vendors to drive process improvements.
Provide ongoing support and guidance to operational teams during process changes.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
Experience in process engineering, operational excellence, continuous improvement, or a similar role.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Advanced Excel skills and experience with data analysis tools.
Experience mapping processes and implementing operational improvements.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent qualification.
Experience within logistics, warehousing, e-commerce, manufacturing, or supply chain operations.
Knowledge of WMS, ERP, LMS, or operational management systems.
Experience using Power BI, SQL, or other business intelligence tools.
