VF Corporation is looking for a Construction Project Coordinator (temp 1 year) to join our Property team based in Stabio, Switzerland.

Let’s talk about the role!     

As Temporary Construction Project Coordinator, you will be responsible to support the Store Development & Construction team in the overall project workload, ensuring all the KPIs are met, being able to build effective relationships both internally, with the team and the points of contact in the brands, and externally, with architects, construction parties and contractors, vendors in the EMEA region.

You will support new openings, refits, closures for all European retail formats – full price and outlet stores (O&O and Partnership), concessions and managed space in line with each brand’s DNA. 

We expect that you will deliver unbeatable results whilst fulfilling the following aspects of the PM Construction role (primary accountabilities):

  • Prepare construction documents for accuracy, feasibility and conformance to brand and industry standard.
  • To work collaboratively with key colleagues to deliver great store environments through the ongoing optimization of timing and cost efficiency.
  • Responsible for overall project management and coordination of the projects assigned: organize, execute, analyse and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Responsible for costing, procurement, distribution, execution and on time installation.
  • Build up an efficient and clear reporting towards the stakeholders.
  • Ensure that design standards and brand image are maintained.
  • Manage the relationship with internal and external departments.
  • Make sure all authorization from internal and external departments approvals are collected.
  • First point of contact for general contractors and vendors. 
  • Closely managing, overseeing and executing new store buildouts, renovations and closure.
  • Overviewing the contractors and vendors during the execution.
  • Site visiting to ensure processes and quality.
  • Generating and managing project schedules, budgeting, and closely coordinating vendor supply items with a variety of global and local vendors.

Primary Accountabilities:

  • Operational management of ordinary projects;
  • Coordination of external stakeholders and construction sites;
  • Updating project management tools and reporting;
  • Follow-up with the brand team on progress status;
  • Support internal team in the project activities and execution.

Skills for Success

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant successful experience in a similar role in a multi-site retail operation building high quality retail stores; experience in apparel is a plus.   
  • Must have excellent computer skills including proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Project), AutoCAD.
  • Photoshop, graphic/photo, and MS Project or other Project Management software knowledge a plus.
  • Experience in dealing with 3rd party resource (contractors, vendors and external parties)
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
