Job Details

Our team members are at the heart of everything we do. At World Courier (a Cencora company), we are united in our responsibility to create healthier futures, and every person here is essential to us to be able to deliver on that purpose.

This role will sit within the Global Data and Technology Solutions (GDATS) organization in World Courier and is a key member of the Product Leadership Team. We’re re-imagining IT — not as a support function, but as a strategic partner to the World Courier business.

We exist to help the organisation rise, adapt, and grow, using technology that is innovative, integrated, reliable, secure and designed around real operational needs.

This role will shape our Transportation-related product technologies from transportation management systems, to the next generation of route planning and optimization, to driver and vehicle technology, and more.

Why this role matters

Transportation execution is core to World Courier’s value proposition and directly impacts patient outcomes, customer trust, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.

This role leads a cohesive transportation product group, bringing together multiple product domains: transportation management, route planning and optimization, and driver/vehicle technologies—into a unified strategy and delivery model.

Equally, this role contributes as part of a broader Product Group leadership team, collaborating with peer Group Product Managers to align roadmaps, dependencies, and investment priorities across domains such as customer enablement, data, and core platforms.

What you’ll do

Product Group Leadership & Roadmap Ownership

  • Lead a transportation product group composed of multiple product domains, with Product Owners reporting into this role.

  • Co‑own the vision and multi‑year roadmap for each product domain, working in close partnership with the business in a “two-in-a-box” model and the respective Product Owners.

  • Ensure alignment between individual product roadmaps and the overarching transportation strategy, driving cohesive, end‑to‑end outcomes across the product group.

  • Provide direction, coaching, and governance to Product Owners, enabling strong product management discipline, clear prioritization, and high-quality delivery.

Cross‑Product Collaboration & Enterprise Alignment

  • Operate as a peer to other Product Group Managers, jointly shaping the company-wide product vision and roadmap strategy.

  • Collaborate closely with peers to:

    • Align roadmaps and sequencing across interdependent product groups

    • Manage cross-domain dependencies and integration points

    • Ensure consistent product management practices and standards

    • Support cohesive, end‑to‑end user and operational experiences

  • Contribute to portfolio-level decision making, helping to balance investment, innovation, and platform health across the broader GDATS product landscape.

Transportation Product Strategy & Delivery

  • Own and evolve the broader transportation technology ecosystem, ensuring platforms support global execution while accommodating regional and operational complexity.

  • Lead product strategy and delivery across transportation capabilities including:

    • Route planning and optimization (air, ground, and last mile)

    • Integrated airfreight booking and carrier integrations

    • Time‑ and temperature‑controlled logistics technologies

    • Courier driver and vehicle technologies

    • Reusable asset tracking and lifecycle management

AI-Enabled Transportation & Product Delivery

  • Drive the integration of AI‑assisted capabilities across transportation platforms, including:

    • AI‑assisted route optimization using real‑time and contextual data

    • Predictive disruption identification and mitigation recommendations

    • Intelligent planning and dynamic decision support for operations

  • Establish and embed AI‑driven product delivery practices across the product group, including:

    • Using data, telemetry, and insights to continuously refine product outcomes

    • Enabling experimentation (simulation, scenario modelling, A/B testing where appropriate)

    • Leveraging automation and advanced analytics to improve delivery speed and quality

Stakeholder & Delivery Leadership

  • Partner closely with Transportation Operations leadership, Quality, and regional stakeholders to translate execution-level needs into cohesive product outcomes, including configurable off-the-shelf products.

  • Build effective relationships with key vendors and influence their roadmaps to better support World Courier’s strategic transportation technology priorities.

  • Balance innovation, platform health, scalability, and regulatory requirements when guiding prioritization with Product Owners.

  • Work in close collaboration with Architecture, Engineering, Cyber, and Data teams to ensure solutions are secure, resilient, and globally scalable.

  • Act as the accountable leader for transportation product outcomes, ensuring value realization across the full product group rather than individual platforms.

.

What we’re looking for

You’ll thrive in this role if you

  • Leading both product strategy and people

  • Collaborate effectively across a peer leadership model.

Experience that will help you succeed:

  • Proven experience leading enterprise-scale transportation, logistics, or supply-chain technology products in complex, global, regulated environments.

  • Experience leading multiple product teams or product groups, including managing or mentoring Product Owners or Product Managers.

  • Experience working in matrixed, peer-based leadership environments, aligning across multiple product or platform domains.

  • Strong functional understanding of Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and route optimization platforms.

  • Demonstrated experience incorporating AI, optimization, or advanced analytics into operational products.

What success looks like in this role

  • Strong alignment across TMS, route planning, and driver/vehicle technology roadmaps, delivered through effective Product Owner leadership.

  • Seamless collaboration with peer Group Product Managers, resulting in aligned, integrated product roadmaps across domains.

  • A high-performing team of Product Owners with clear accountability, strong delivery discipline, and shared product vision.

  • Measurable improvements in routing efficiency, predictability, and operational performance driven by AI-enabled capabilities.

  • Reduced fragmentation and increased standardization across global transportation technology.

  • Clear linkage between transportation strategy, product investment, and measurable business outcomes.

Why join World Courier GDATS?

You’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Lead a strategically critical product group at the heart of World Courier operations.

  • Operate within a collaborative Product Group Manager peer leadership model, shaping enterprise-wide product strategy.

  • Build and lead a strong team of Product Owners delivering meaningful outcomes.

  • Help define how AI is responsibly and effectively applied in global healthcare logistics.

  • Work in a purpose-driven business delivering essential pharma logistics services.

How you’ll be working

  • This role operates within a global, matrixed IT organisation, working closely with Design, Engineering, Delivery, QA, and business stakeholders.

  • Collaboration across time zones and regions is required

  • Flexible and hybrid working arrangements apply in line with World Courier policies
