Product Manager - Credit Bureaus

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Product Manager – Credit Bureaus based in the United States.

This role sits at the core of a mission-critical data strategy powering next-generation financial intelligence products. You will own how credit bureau data is sourced, structured, integrated, and translated into meaningful consumer outcomes that improve debt management and financial wellbeing. Working across engineering, data, compliance, and leadership teams, you will define how bureau datasets from major providers are leveraged to build scalable, reliable, and high-impact product experiences. The environment is highly technical, fast-paced, and deeply collaborative, requiring strong product intuition combined with data fluency. You will play a key role in shaping the foundation of bureau-driven infrastructure, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and performance at scale. This is a high-impact role where product decisions directly influence financial outcomes for end users.

Accountabilities:

In this role, you will own the end-to-end strategy, integration, and productization of credit bureau data, ensuring it is transformed into reliable, scalable, and value-driving product capabilities.

  • Define and own the credit bureau product strategy across major bureaus and specialty data providers, aligning data capabilities with long-term platform goals
  • Evaluate bureau datasets, attributes, scoring models, and APIs, and develop frameworks for comparison across accuracy, cost, latency, and coverage
  • Lead full lifecycle bureau integrations including vendor evaluation, technical scoping, API design, data validation, rollout, and ongoing monitoring
  • Partner with engineering and data teams to ensure accurate ingestion, normalization, reconciliation, and standardization of bureau data
  • Translate bureau capabilities into consumer-facing features across debt identification, underwriting, repayment optimization, and credit improvement use cases
  • Define and enforce data quality, compliance, and governance standards including FCRA requirements, permissible purpose, and auditability
  • Monitor performance metrics such as data accuracy, match rates, uptime, latency, and integration reliability
  • Requirements:

    This role requires strong expertise in credit bureau systems combined with technical product management experience in fintech or data-heavy environments.

    • Proven experience working with credit bureau data, APIs, attributes, scoring models, or related financial data products
    • Background in product management within fintech, lending, credit infrastructure, or data-driven platforms
    • Strong technical fluency with ability to collaborate closely with engineering and data teams on integrations and system design
    • Deep understanding of data pipelines, normalization, reconciliation, and data quality frameworks
    • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance considerations such as FCRA, permissible purpose, and financial data governance
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to operate in complex, ambiguous environments
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to align stakeholders across technical and business functions
    • Comfort working in fast-paced, mission-driven environments with high ownership expectations
