Senior QA Lead - Architect

This is a senior technical QA leadership role focused on defining and scaling end-to-end test automation strategies across complex, enterprise-grade healthcare software systems.
The position combines hands-on automation engineering with architectural ownership of QA frameworks spanning API, UI, and messaging layers.
You will play a key role in embedding quality across Agile development teams, ensuring testing is integrated early and continuously throughout the SDLC.
The role requires deep expertise in automation design, CI/CD enablement, and large-scale system validation across cloud and hybrid environments.
You will lead QA strategy for specific domains, drive metrics reporting, and influence engineering decisions at both technical and leadership levels.
This is a highly collaborative role working closely with developers, product owners, and DevOps teams to ensure high-quality, patient-focused software delivery.

Accountabilities:
- Architect and implement scalable end-to-end QA strategies and automation frameworks across API, UI, and messaging layers for enterprise healthcare systems built on .NET and React applications.
- Lead automation design and execution using tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, SpecFlow, Cucumber, and NUnit.
- Own QA strategy and metrics for assigned domains, presenting quality insights, risks, and improvements to leadership and executive stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Agile teams to define acceptance criteria, test scenarios, and shift-left testing approaches from early development stages.
- Build and maintain automated test suites covering functional, regression, performance, load, security, accessibility, and UAT testing.
- Drive CI/CD quality integration and pipeline improvements using Azure DevOps, ensuring reliable and repeatable deployment validation.
- Validate data integrity using SQL and ensure accurate testing across relational and cloud-based systems including Oracle and PostgreSQL environments.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives while influencing QA best practices.
- Mentor QA engineers and promote automation excellence, test design standards, and domain knowledge sharing.
- Support test environment readiness, integration testing, and cross-system validation across cloud and containerized environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of QA experience on large-scale, enterprise software systems.
- 5+ years of strong automation experience using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, SpecFlow, Cucumber, NUnit, or JMeter.
- Strong programming skills in C# and solid understanding of the .NET ecosystem.
- Experience building and scaling test automation frameworks across UI, API, and backend systems.
- Strong SQL skills for data validation and experience working with complex datasets.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience working across cloud and on-prem environments including Azure and Oracle-based systems.
- Familiarity with containerized environments such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills in complex system landscapes.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to engage both technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Experience with test management tools such as Jira, Zephyr, and Azure DevOps is highly valued.
- Competitive annual salary ranging from $138,000 to $170,000 depending on experience and location.
