Mid level QA Automation

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Mid level QA Automation based in Brazil.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the quality and reliability of modern digital products across web, mobile, and API platforms. As part of a collaborative and agile environment, you will play a key role in designing, executing, and evolving automated testing strategies that support high-quality software delivery. Working closely with developers, product teams, and fellow QA professionals, you will help identify risks early, improve testing practices, and ensure seamless user experiences. The position combines hands-on automation development with quality advocacy, allowing you to influence both technical implementation and process improvement. • Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for web applications using Java, Selenium, and Cucumber.
• Create and maintain mobile test automation frameworks and scripts using Appium.
• Develop and execute API automation tests using RestAssured.
• Plan, document, and execute functional, regression, exploratory, and end-to-end testing activities.
• Write and maintain test scenarios using BDD methodologies and Gherkin syntax.
• Participate actively in agile ceremonies, contributing quality insights during requirement refinement and planning sessions.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to validate requirements and define test coverage.
• Identify, document, and track defects, supporting root cause analysis and resolution efforts.
• Assess risks, critical scenarios, and potential impacts throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes, automation frameworks, and quality practices.

Requirements:

• Professional experience in QA Automation with a strong focus on test automation development.
• Solid programming experience with Java for automated testing.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium, Cucumber, and automated web testing frameworks.
• Experience with mobile automation testing using Appium.
• Knowledge of API testing and automation using RestAssured.
• Strong understanding of BDD practices and experience writing Gherkin scenarios.
• Experience executing functional, regression, and exploratory tests.
• Ability to analyze requirements and identify comprehensive test scenarios.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with Maven and test project dependency management.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, VSTS, or similar development lifecycle tools is a plus.
• Knowledge of Postman and API validation tools is desirable.
• Experience analyzing prototypes and user flows through design tools such as Figma is a plus.
• Understanding of Shift-Left Testing principles and quality engineering practices.
• Familiarity with cloud-based test execution platforms such as BrowserStack, LambdaTest, or similar solutions.
• Knowledge of integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines is desirable.
• Proactive mindset with strong organizational skills, critical thinking, and a continuous improvement approach.
