Strategic Account Manager, National Contractor Accounts

This role is a high-impact, consultative sales position focused on driving strategic relationships with national electrical contractors and key end users across commercial, industrial, and data center markets. You will act as a technical and commercial advisor, helping shape project specifications and ensuring strong positioning of advanced electrical infrastructure solutions. Working at the intersection of sales, engineering, and project execution, you will influence design decisions early in the project lifecycle to secure long-term business outcomes. The role involves close collaboration with contractors, consultants, and internal engineering and sales teams to support complex, large-scale infrastructure projects. You will also play a key role in delivering technical training, strengthening partner capabilities, and building long-term strategic alignment. This is a field-facing, relationship-driven role requiring both deep technical knowledge and strong commercial acumen.
Accountabilities:
- Serve as the primary strategic account lead for national electrical contractor partners and key end users across assigned territories and project portfolios.
- Drive specification preference by influencing project design decisions and positioning advanced electrical infrastructure solutions early in the sales cycle.
- Provide technical pre-sales support including drawing reviews, specification analysis, and consultative guidance for complex electrical infrastructure projects.
- Collaborate closely with contractors, consulting engineers, and internal teams to support design-build opportunities and project execution strategies.
- Deliver technical training sessions, product seminars, and capability-building workshops for contractors, consultants, and sales partners.
- Support forecasting, project pipeline development, and coordination with regional sales and application engineering teams.
- Provide voice-of-customer insights to product teams to support continuous improvement and future solution development.
- Develop and maintain long-term strategic relationships with key national accounts to drive sustained business growth.
- 7+ years of experience in electrical sales, electrical engineering, or technical account management within infrastructure or industrial markets.
- Strong understanding of electrical power distribution systems and related infrastructure solutions.
- Experience working with contractors, consultants, and/or large-scale end users in commercial, industrial, or data center environments.
- Proven ability to influence technical specifications and drive commercial outcomes through consultative selling.
- Strong presentation, communication, and training skills with the ability to engage technical and executive stakeholders.
- Ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder accounts and coordinate across distributed teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business, or related field required.
- Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to translate technical challenges into practical solutions.
