Manager of Data & Analytics

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Manager of Data & Analytics based in Canada.

This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for shaping how data is used across the organization to drive strategic and operational decision-making. You will lead the end-to-end data and analytics function, transforming raw data into meaningful insights that support business performance, growth, and efficiency. The role combines technical leadership, team management, and cross-functional partnership to build scalable reporting and analytics infrastructure. You will oversee dashboards, data pipelines, and visualization tools while ensuring data accuracy, accessibility, and governance. Working closely with business leaders, you will translate complex data into clear narratives that guide key decisions. This position is ideal for a hands-on analytics leader who enjoys solving complex data challenges and building a strong data-driven culture. Your work will directly influence how the organization measures performance and identifies opportunities for improvement.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead and oversee the enterprise data and analytics function, ensuring delivery of scalable reporting, dashboards, and insights across the organization.
  • Own the architecture, optimization, and continuous improvement of BI platforms, including Tableau-based reporting environments.
  • Manage data projects end-to-end, prioritizing initiatives aligned with business objectives and organizational priorities.
  • Design and enhance data pipelines, workflows, and automation processes to improve reporting accuracy, scalability, and efficiency.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for data systems, supporting troubleshooting and resolution of data pipeline or integration issues.
  • Partner with business and finance stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable analytics solutions and insights.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, reporting standards, and data governance practices to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of data professionals, supporting recruitment, onboarding, performance, and career growth.
  • Promote data literacy and a culture of data-driven decision-making across all departments.
  • Ensure high standards of data quality, integrity, privacy, and governance across all analytics initiatives.
  • Requirements:

    • 5+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, IT project coordination, or technical operations.
    • 3+ years of experience in analytics or BI roles, including exposure to leadership, ownership, or project management responsibilities.
    • Strong hands-on experience with SQL and data visualization tools such as Tableau (preferably Tableau Online).
    • Solid understanding of data architecture, system integration, and reporting automation principles.
    • Experience designing dashboards, building data models, and optimizing analytics workflows.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex findings in a clear and accessible way.
    • Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders, particularly in finance or business operations environments.
    • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
    • Leadership experience managing or mentoring teams is considered an asset.
