Data Analyst Principal

Working within a collaborative, fast-paced data organization, you will translate large and diverse datasets into meaningful insights, dashboards, and predictive models. The role combines technical depth in analytics and machine learning with strategic advisory responsibilities, enabling stakeholders to act on data with confidence. You will also mentor junior team members, helping elevate analytical capability across the organization. Accountabilities:
- Lead end-to-end data analytics initiatives, delivering insights aligned with organizational objectives, timelines, and stakeholder needs.
- Collect, process, and analyze large structured and unstructured datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
- Design, build, and maintain advanced dashboards and reports using tools such as Tableau and Power BI for executive and operational audiences.
- Develop predictive models, machine learning solutions, and statistical analyses to support complex business and mission requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver scalable analytics solutions that improve decision-making and workflows.
- Mentor and guide junior analysts and data professionals, promoting best practices in data analysis and visualization.
- Communicate findings through clear, compelling presentations tailored to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- 8+ years of experience in data analytics, data science, or related fields, supporting enterprise-level or complex environments.
- Expert-level proficiency in SQL, data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI), and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong programming experience in Python and/or R for data analysis, modeling, and automation.
- Solid understanding of statistical methods, including regression analysis, hypothesis testing, and probability distributions.
- Hands-on experience with machine learning techniques such as supervised/unsupervised learning, NLP, or ensemble methods.
- Familiarity with ML frameworks and tools such as scikit-learn, Keras, PyTorch, or Jupyter notebooks.
- Experience working in Agile environments and using tools such as Azure DevOps or similar platforms.
- Excellent communication, consulting, and presentation skills with the ability to influence executive-level stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Competitive salary range: $128,039 – $173,229, based on experience and location.
