SR R&D/Product DVL Engineer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a SR R&D / Product Development Engineer based in the United States.

This role offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of high-speed connectivity innovation, designing and validating advanced signal integrity solutions for next-generation communication systems. You will contribute to the development of cutting-edge connector and cable assembly products used in data centers and wireless infrastructure environments. The position combines deep technical expertise in electrical design, simulation, and testing with cross-functional collaboration across mechanical, manufacturing, and operations teams. You will act as a technical authority in signal integrity, guiding product development from early-stage modeling through prototyping and production validation. This is a highly impactful role for an engineer who enjoys solving complex electromagnetic challenges and influencing product performance at scale within a global engineering environment.

Accountabilities

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in signal integrity across product development cycles, ensuring high-performance design standards for high-speed systems.
  • Define electrical performance requirements for new connector and cable assembly products based on application needs and industry standards.
  • Conduct advanced signal integrity simulations for high-speed interfaces, selecting appropriate modeling methodologies and tools for accurate analysis.
  • Review PCB schematics and layout designs to ensure compliance with signal integrity and electromagnetic performance requirements.
  • Provide actionable engineering recommendations based on simulation results, lab testing, and design reviews.
  • Lead validation and verification activities from prototype development through production testing to ensure product robustness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to guide connector design, component qualification, and system-level optimization.
  • Translate complex simulation and test data into clear technical insights to support design decisions and product improvements.
  • Support continuous improvement of design methodologies, tools, and best practices in high-speed electrical engineering.
  • Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
    • 5+ years of experience in electrical design, RF engineering, PCB design, or signal integrity engineering roles.
    • Strong expertise in signal integrity analysis tools such as Ansys HFSS, Agilent ADS, CST, or equivalent platforms.
    • Solid understanding of electromagnetic theory, high-speed circuit behavior, and transmission line principles.
    • Experience with PCB design, fabrication processes, and electronic assembly workflows.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret simulation data and laboratory measurements to identify and resolve issues.
    • Ability to independently manage complex engineering tasks and drive projects from concept through validation.
    • Excellent communication skills with fluency in English for global technical collaboration.
    • Experience working in distributed or global engineering environments across multiple time zones.
    • Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced R&D setting.
