HRIS & People Analytics Analyst

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a HRIS & People Analytics Analyst based in the United States.

This role sits at the intersection of HR systems, data integrity, and workforce analytics, enabling a more data-driven people function across the organization. You will be responsible for administering and optimizing core HR platforms while transforming workforce data into meaningful insights for leadership. The position plays a critical role in ensuring accuracy and consistency across HRIS and payroll systems, particularly within Workday and ADP environments. You will also help design scalable reporting solutions and dashboards that support strategic HR and business decisions. Working closely with HR, Finance, and IT, you will contribute to improving data governance, system integration, and reporting automation. This is a highly collaborative role where analytical rigor and systems thinking directly shape workforce strategy and employee experience.

Accountabilities:

In this role, you will oversee HR systems administration while building robust people analytics capabilities that improve decision-making and operational efficiency. You will ensure data accuracy across platforms, develop reporting tools, and translate workforce data into actionable insights that support HR and business leaders.

  • Administer and optimize HR systems (including Workday and ADP), managing configurations, updates, testing, and ongoing improvements
  • Ensure data integrity and consistency across HRIS, payroll, and integrated systems through regular validation and reconciliation
  • Manage system integrations, data flows, and troubleshoot issues across HR technology platforms
  • Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, reports, and workforce metrics using HR and payroll data sources
  • Automate recurring reporting processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness of insights
  • Analyze workforce trends such as attrition, hiring performance, compensation, and organizational movement
  • Translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights and executive-ready presentations
  • Partner with HR, Finance, and IT to enhance data governance, reporting alignment, and system architecture
  • Support process improvements and help build analytics capability across the HR function
  • Requirements

    This role requires strong experience in HR systems administration combined with analytical capability and a passion for transforming data into insights. The ideal candidate is comfortable working across multiple systems, building reports, and partnering with stakeholders to improve decision-making.

    • 5+ years of experience in HRIS, people analytics, or hybrid HR systems/data roles
    • Hands-on experience with Workday (required) and ADP (strongly preferred)
    • Strong proficiency in Workday reporting, dashboards, and composite reports
    • Advanced Excel skills and experience working with complex datasets
    • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau (strongly preferred)
    • Familiarity with SQL or willingness to develop data querying skills
    • Strong understanding of HR, payroll, and workforce data structures
    • Ability to reconcile and validate data across multiple systems and sources
    • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate data into clear business insights
    • Collaborative mindset with the ability to support and upskill non-technical HR stakeholders
