This role sits at the core of a modern cloud engineering organization, focused on building and evolving highly reliable, scalable, and secure infrastructure that powers mission-critical SaaS platforms. You will design and operate cloud-native environments while enabling engineering teams through automation, self-service tooling, and strong infrastructure-as-code practices. A key aspect of the role involves improving deployment velocity and system reliability across distributed systems in Azure-based environments. You will also contribute to shaping how AI-powered tools are integrated into DevOps workflows to reduce operational overhead and accelerate engineering productivity. Working across engineering, security, and product teams, you will help define the standards and platforms that underpin the entire software delivery lifecycle. Accountabilities:
In this role, you will design, build, and continuously improve cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices, ensuring scalable, secure, and highly available systems. You will also drive automation, platform enablement, and AI-assisted workflows to improve engineering efficiency and operational excellence.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure primarily on Azure with a focus on reliability, security, and performance
- Own and evolve Infrastructure as Code practices using Terraform, Pulumi, or similar tools to enable consistent environment provisioning
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines for application, infrastructure, and platform deployments
- Develop self-service infrastructure, reusable templates, and automation tools to empower engineering teams
- Drive containerization and orchestration practices using Kubernetes and related technologies
- Integrate security, observability, compliance, and disaster recovery into infrastructure and deployment pipelines
- Leverage AI-assisted tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Codex) to automate DevOps tasks and improve engineering productivity
- Identify and implement AI-driven opportunities across troubleshooting, monitoring, incident response, and release management
- Improve observability, monitoring, logging, and alerting to enhance system reliability and operational response
- Collaborate with engineering, security, and architecture teams to improve platform standards and delivery practices
Requirements
This role requires deep DevOps and infrastructure engineering expertise, strong cloud-native experience, and a mindset focused on automation, scalability, and enablement. The ideal candidate is comfortable working across complex systems and modern engineering toolchains.
- 8+ years of experience in DevOps, infrastructure engineering, platform engineering, or similar SaaS environments
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure or comparable cloud platforms and cloud-native architecture
- Expertise in CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and release management practices
- Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi
- Solid understanding of Kubernetes, containerization, networking, security, and observability practices
- Experience or strong interest in AI-assisted DevOps tools and workflow automation
- Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and incident response systems in production environments
- Strong ability to build reusable frameworks, standards, and documentation for engineering teams
- Collaborative mindset with strong communication and cross-functional partnership skills
- Bonus: experience with FinOps, policy-as-code, internal developer platforms, or AI-driven infrastructure optimization
