Full Stack Engineer, Machine Learning Tooling

Jobgether · US

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Full Stack Engineer, Machine Learning Tooling based in the United States.

This role sits at the intersection of full stack engineering and machine learning infrastructure, focused on building internal tools that power ML and data science workflows. You will design and scale web-based applications that support model development, deployment, and monitoring across engineering and data teams. The work directly enables faster experimentation, better operational reliability, and improved ML-driven decision-making. You will collaborate closely with data scientists, backend engineers, and platform teams in a fast-moving, high-ownership environment. The role emphasizes hands-on development across frontend and backend systems, with a strong focus on reliability and scalability. It is ideal for an engineer who enjoys solving complex infrastructure-adjacent problems while staying close to product impact.

Accountabilities:

  • Build and maintain full stack internal tools that support machine learning workflows, including interfaces, APIs, and backend services used by engineering and data teams.
  • Develop scalable web applications using modern frameworks (such as React with TypeScript) to improve ML experimentation, deployment, and monitoring capabilities.
  • Design and integrate APIs and services using Node.js or Python, ensuring performance, reliability, and clean system architecture.
  • Work with SQL-based data stores and other storage systems to enable efficient data access and transformation for ML tooling use cases.
  • Support deployment and operational workflows using Docker and Kubernetes, contributing to stable and repeatable release processes.
  • Participate in code reviews, on-call rotations, and cross-team collaboration to ensure system health and continuous improvement.
  • Requirements:

    • 3–7+ years of experience in full stack or software engineering roles, ideally supporting internal platforms or developer tooling.
    • Strong proficiency in TypeScript (Node.js) or Python for backend development and API design.
    • Hands-on experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular (React with TypeScript preferred).
    • Solid understanding of SQL and experience working with relational or distributed data systems.
    • Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes-based deployment workflows (including Helm or similar tools).
    • Experience working in cloud or distributed environments and collaborating across engineering, data, and product teams.
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and work effectively in cross-functional settings.
    • Bonus: exposure to ML tooling, data science workflows, or infrastructure supporting model lifecycle management.
    • Benefits:

      • Competitive base salary: $145,000 – $165,000 USD, plus equity participation through stock options.
      • Flexible PTO policy with 11 company holidays.
      • Fully paid medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees, with HSA support.
      • 12 weeks of 100% paid parental leave, with additional recovery leave for birthing parents.
      • Family-building support, including adoption, surrogacy, and fertility benefits.
      • Mental health support through dedicated wellness platforms and caregiver assistance programs.
      • Monthly remote work stipend and additional home office setup allowance.
      • Retirement plan eligibility and financial planning support tools.
      • Inclusive culture with employee resource groups and learning & development stipends.
