Oracle MDM Solution Architect

This is a senior-level solution architecture role focused on leading end-to-end Meter Data Management (MDM) implementations for utility clients. You will act as a functional and technical leader, guiding complex Oracle Utilities C2M/MDM transformation programs from design through delivery. The role involves close collaboration with client stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable, future-ready MDM solutions aligned with industry best practices. You will oversee the integration of meter-to-cash processes, ensure data accuracy across utility systems, and drive successful execution across multiple workstreams. This position combines strategic consulting, hands-on solution design, and delivery leadership in highly complex enterprise environments. It is ideal for an experienced architect who thrives in utilities transformation and enjoys shaping end-to-end digital modernization programs.
Accountabilities:
Lead the definition, design, and delivery of Oracle MDM solutions across complex utility transformation programs, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical best practices.
- Own the end-to-end design, configuration, and delivery of Oracle MDM/C2M functional solutions for utility clients
- Lead requirements gathering workshops and translate business needs into structured solution designs and process mappings
- Oversee meter data collection, validation, and troubleshooting across electric, water, and gas utility systems
- Configure and optimize Oracle Utilities MDM solutions to improve functionality, performance, and data accuracy
- Map client requirements to standard C2M processes and Oracle Utilities frameworks
- Develop and manage detailed project plans covering workshops, testing, training, and deployment activities
- Coordinate onshore and offshore teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of functional workstreams
- Identify risks, remove delivery blockers, and ensure alignment across interdependent project activities
- Oversee functional deliverables and ensure quality before client submission
- Support change management, documentation, and continuous improvement of delivery methodologies
- Mentor team members and contribute to capability building within delivery teams
- Support proposal and RFP activities with Oracle Utilities MDM expertise
- Strong expertise in Oracle Utilities MDM and/or C2M solutions
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in consulting or implementation roles
- Proven experience leading full lifecycle MDM implementations in utility environments
- Deep understanding of meter-to-cash processes, billing systems, and utility operations
- Experience with Oracle Utilities Application Framework (OUAF) and related architecture components
- Strong SQL knowledge and familiarity with cloud-based system delivery environments
- Ability to lead workshops, define requirements, and manage complex stakeholder environments
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to decompose and resolve complex data and system issues
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, including client-facing executive interactions
- Experience coordinating distributed teams (onshore/offshore) in fast-paced project environments
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
- Willingness to travel up to 35% across the US and Canada
- Knowledge of XML, Groovy, SaaS, and Oracle certifications is a strong asset

Requirements:
6+ years of experience in utilities consulting or solution delivery, including at least 3 full-cycle Oracle MDM or C2M implementations, with strong expertise in meter-to-cash processes.
