This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Platform Engineer based in India.
This role is an opportunity to shape and operate large-scale cloud infrastructure powering enterprise-grade private cloud and virtualization platforms. You will work at the core of a distributed, high-availability system spanning Kubernetes, OpenStack, and multi-cloud environments. The position involves building and maintaining robust infrastructure that supports mission-critical workloads for global enterprises. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams to automate deployments, improve reliability, and enhance system performance. The environment is fast-paced, highly technical, and deeply collaborative, with strong emphasis on ownership and operational excellence. You will also contribute to improving observability, incident response, and platform resilience at scale. This is a hands-on role for engineers who enjoy solving complex infrastructure challenges in production environments.
Accountabilities:
Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure across AWS, OCI, Kubernetes, and OpenStack environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployments using Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terragrunt and similar frameworks.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with engineering teams to enable reliable and efficient software delivery.
- Implement and enhance observability solutions using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and related monitoring stacks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues across infrastructure, applications, and performance layers.
- Build internal tooling and automation scripts to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Participate in on-call rotations and incident response to ensure continuous availability of critical services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system design, scalability, and operational best practices.
Requirements:
5–7 years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering roles with strong cloud infrastructure expertise.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including cluster management, troubleshooting, and deployment strategies.
- Strong knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terragrunt, Ansible, or equivalent.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python or similar languages.
- Strong programming skills in Golang or comparable backend languages.
- Experience with Linux systems administration, debugging, and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Cortex, or similar stacks.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation practices, and incident management in production environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to operate in high-pressure, production-critical scenarios.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in distributed engineering teams.
- Experience with OpenStack is a strong plus.
