Property Claims Vendor Consultant

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Property Claims Vendor Consultant based in Canada.

This role sits at the intersection of vendor management, property claims operations, and strategic performance optimization within a large-scale insurance environment. You will be responsible for strengthening relationships with external service providers while ensuring claims-related vendors deliver high-quality, cost-effective, and compliant services. The position combines analytical oversight, stakeholder collaboration, and hands-on operational coordination across onboarding, performance monitoring, and issue resolution. You will play a key role in improving vendor performance frameworks, driving cost efficiencies, and enhancing service delivery standards. Working in a remote-first setup, you will engage with internal claims teams and external partners to ensure seamless execution across the vendor ecosystem. This is a high-impact role that directly supports operational excellence and customer satisfaction in property claims services.

Accountabilities:

  • Manage and optimize relationships with property claims vendors, ensuring alignment with contractual obligations, service expectations, and business needs.
  • Coordinate vendor onboarding and offboarding processes, including due diligence, system integration, and smooth operational transitions.
  • Monitor vendor performance by establishing KPIs, conducting regular reviews, and ensuring compliance with quality, cost, and service standards.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities through data analysis and implement initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce operational spend.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for vendor-related issues, resolving disputes and addressing performance gaps in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve vendor management processes, tools, and workflows to enhance transparency and effectiveness.
  • Recommend and support automation and process optimization initiatives to streamline vendor operations and reporting.
  • Conduct vendor assessments to ensure alignment with organizational requirements for quality, risk, and cost efficiency.
  • Requirements:

    • 5+ years of experience in vendor management, procurement, property claims, or insurance operations within complex environments.
    • Strong background in property insurance claims processes, vendor oversight, or claims service provider management.
    • Experience working with performance management frameworks, including KPI development, monitoring, and reporting.
    • Familiarity with property claims tools and platforms such as Xactimate is considered an asset.
    • Proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships and act as a key liaison between vendors and internal teams.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience using data to drive operational improvements and cost savings.
    • Experience in insurance or financial services environments is strongly preferred.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
    • Ability to work independently in a remote, cross-functional, and fast-paced environment.
