Medical Information Specialist

This role sits at the intersection of healthcare science, patient safety, and scientific communication, supporting the accurate exchange of medical information across global stakeholders.
You will be part of a highly collaborative, multi-cultural environment focused on responding to medical and product-related enquiries from healthcare professionals and patients.
The position plays a key role in ensuring that approved scientific and clinical information is delivered clearly, consistently, and in line with regulatory standards.
You will contribute directly to patient safety by supporting adverse event reporting, product quality monitoring, and compliant documentation practices.
The role offers exposure to a fast-paced, 24/7 medical information environment where accuracy, scientific rigor, and communication skills are essential.
You will also help improve internal processes, contribute to training activities, and support continuous service quality enhancements.

Accountabilities:

  • Respond to medical, scientific, and safety-related enquiries from healthcare professionals, patients, and consumers via phone, email, and digital platforms.
  • Use approved product information, scientific literature, and internal databases to deliver accurate, compliant, and clear responses.
  • Document and log all enquiries in internal systems with high accuracy, ensuring regulatory compliance and traceability.
  • Report adverse events, product complaints, and safety issues in accordance with global pharmacovigilance standards.
  • Support quality assurance activities by reviewing medical responses and safety documentation for completeness and accuracy.
  • Draft customized medical responses using approved client materials when required.
  • Contribute to onboarding support and informal mentoring of new team members as experience grows.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and support updates to internal documentation and workflows.
  • Provide occasional rotational after-hours coverage based on business needs.
  • Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, Medicine, or a related healthcare field.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex scientific concepts clearly.
    • High attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy, compliance, and quality standards.
    • Interest in pharmacovigilance, drug safety, regulatory affairs, or medical information services.
    • Ability to work in a structured, regulated environment with strong documentation discipline.
    • Proactive mindset with willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced global setting.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional and multicultural teams.
    • Comfort working in shift-based or rotational coverage environments when required.
