HEOR Science Liaison

Jobgether · US

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a HEOR Science Liaison based in United States.

This is a highly specialized field-based scientific role focused on bridging health economics, outcomes research, and payer decision-making within the evolving mental health and biopharmaceutical landscape. You will serve as a trusted scientific partner to healthcare decision makers, including payers, formulary committees, and health system stakeholders, translating complex clinical, economic, and real-world evidence into actionable insights that support access and reimbursement decisions. The role plays a critical part in communicating the value of innovative therapies across the full product lifecycle, while also gathering strategic field intelligence to inform internal HEOR and market access strategies. Operating in a highly collaborative environment, you will engage with cross-functional medical, access, and research teams to align evidence generation with external payer needs. This is a remote, field-based position requiring significant travel and strong scientific credibility to influence key stakeholders in a non-promotional capacity. The role is ideal for professionals who combine deep HEOR expertise with strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Accountabilities:

  • Build and maintain peer-to-peer relationships with key payer stakeholders, including MCOs, PBMs, IDNs, ACOs, and HTA bodies within the assigned territory.
  • Deliver balanced, scientifically rigorous presentations on clinical data, real-world evidence, pharmacoeconomic models, and health outcomes research.
  • Respond to unsolicited medical and HEOR information requests from external stakeholders in a compliant, accurate, and timely manner.
  • Partner with internal HEOR, RWE, and Medical Affairs teams to identify evidence gaps and support observational studies, retrospective analyses, and economic research initiatives.
  • Support the development and communication of cost-effectiveness models, budget impact tools, and other value-based resources for payer audiences.
  • Gather and synthesize payer landscape intelligence, including formulary trends, reimbursement policies, and competitive dynamics, to inform internal strategy.
  • Represent the organization at scientific, payer, and managed care conferences to maintain awareness of evolving evidence and market access trends.
  • Contribute to publications, abstracts, and scientific communications for peer-reviewed journals and medical congresses.
  • Collaborate with Market Access, Medical Affairs, and Commercial teams to align field insights with broader organizational strategy.
  • Requirements:

    • Advanced scientific or health-related degree required (PharmD, PhD, MD, DO preferred) in health economics, epidemiology, public health, pharmacoeconomics, or related discipline.
    • 3–5+ years of experience in HEOR, managed care, payer environments, health economics consulting, or pharmaceutical market access roles.
    • 2–3+ years of experience in a field-based liaison or medical/scientific engagement role interacting with payer stakeholders.
    • Strong expertise in HEOR methodologies including cost-effectiveness analysis, budget impact modeling, QALYs, and evidence synthesis.
    • Deep understanding of the US payer landscape, including CMS, Medicare, Medicaid, PBM structures, and reimbursement pathways.
    • Proven ability to translate complex scientific and economic evidence into clear, compelling narratives for non-scientific decision makers.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence senior healthcare decision makers in a compliant, non-promotional manner.
    • Willingness and ability to travel 50–70% across the United States for field engagement and conferences.
    • Experience in mental health, specialty therapeutics, or innovative biopharma products is a plus.
    • Benefits:

      • Competitive base salary range of $160,000–$195,000 USD annually, with eligibility for discretionary bonuses and equity awards.
      • Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
      • Remote field-based flexibility with significant autonomy over territory engagement.
      • Opportunity to work at the intersection of HEOR, market access, and innovative mental health therapeutics.
      • Exposure to high-impact scientific research, payer strategy, and real-world evidence generation.
      • Participation in conferences, advisory boards, and cross-functional scientific initiatives.
      • Strong focus on professional development within a rapidly evolving biopharmaceutical environment.
