Retail Trade & Store Operations

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Retail Trade & Store Operations professional based in India.

This role offers an opportunity to apply deep expertise in retail operations and customer-facing environments within a cutting-edge AI benchmarking initiative focused on real-world Indian retail ecosystems. You will help design and evaluate realistic scenarios reflecting the day-to-day complexity of store operations, customer service, inventory control, and multi-branch retail management. The work spans supermarkets, pharmacies, department stores, and large-scale retail networks. You will ensure AI systems accurately understand how retail businesses operate, from frontline service to operational decision-making. Operating in a fast-paced, commercially driven environment, you will collaborate with global experts to improve AI understanding of retail workflows. Your contributions will directly shape how AI responds to real-world retail and customer service challenges.

• Design realistic retail trade and store operations scenarios in Nepali or English based on Indian retail environments, including customer service issues, inventory management, store supervision, pharmacy workflows, and multi-branch coordination.
• Adapt structured evaluation rubrics to assess operational decision-making, customer interaction quality, compliance adherence, and retail problem-solving tasks.
• Review AI-generated and human-generated outputs for factual accuracy, policy compliance, customer service effectiveness, and operational realism.
• Contribute to the development of “gold standard” solutions reflecting best practices across Indian retail, pharmacy, and store operations.
• Ensure scenarios reflect real-world retail workflows, customer experience standards, and operational procedures across diverse store formats.

Requirements:

• Native-level proficiency in Nepali with strong professional proficiency in English.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in retail, store operations, pharmacy operations, commercial management, or retail loss prevention.
• Background in roles such as store management, retail supervision, pharmacy operations, customer experience management, fraud prevention, or multi-branch retail coordination.
• Strong understanding of retail workflows, inventory systems, customer service processes, and compliance standards in Indian retail environments.
• Ability to translate real-world retail experience into structured, analytical, scenario-based content.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and attention to operational detail.
