This leadership role oversees the delivery and operational performance of complex audit engagements within a healthcare-focused environment. You will be responsible for managing large teams, ensuring high-quality audit execution, and driving consistent service delivery across client accounts. The role combines operational oversight, client relationship management, and strategic growth responsibilities, with a strong emphasis on metrics-driven performance. You will play a key part in improving audit efficiency, ensuring compliance, and enhancing customer satisfaction across all phases of engagement. Acting as a senior escalation point, you will resolve complex client issues while maintaining strong partnership alignment. This is a high-impact position where leadership, analytical thinking, and operational rigor directly influence both client outcomes and business growth.
Accountabilities:
This role is responsible for leading audit operations, ensuring service excellence, and driving both operational efficiency and account growth across client engagements. You will manage teams, oversee performance metrics, and ensure compliance while continuously improving processes and strengthening client relationships.
- Lead end-to-end audit service delivery, ensuring quality, timeliness, and alignment with client expectations
- Define and manage key operational metrics to monitor quality, productivity, and customer experience
- Oversee audit productivity, ensuring progress against targets and effective coordination across support functions
- Drive cost efficiency while maintaining compliance with contractual obligations and internal policies
- Act as senior escalation point for client issues, resolving conflicts and ensuring complete issue closure
- Support account growth by identifying additional audit opportunities and leveraging internal tools and data
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements, safeguarding sensitive client data
- Partner with sales and account teams on renewals, RFPs, and contract negotiations to support retention and growth
- Manage staffing plans, workload distribution, and resource alignment across audit teams
- Lead people management activities including performance reviews, coaching, and employee development
- Support training, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives across teams
- Develop succession planning strategies to ensure operational continuity and scalability
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 5+ years of experience in healthcare auditing, claims, or healthcare billing
- 5+ years of people management experience, preferably leading large teams
- Prior client-facing experience in account management, audit, or sales environments
- Strong ability to analyze metrics and drive operational performance improvements
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, and claims or audit database systems
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrated leadership and ability to influence across functions and business units
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong understanding of industry standards and regulatory compliance requirements
