Job overview 

In this role, you will drive the development, execution, and lifecycle management of data-focused product portfolios that serve residential, business, and global customers. You will define product strategy and roadmaps with instrumentation, telemetry, and insights built in, enabling learning loops that leverage AI and machine learning to continuously improve performance. You’ll own business cases and P&L accountability while partnering across technology, data science, UX, and business teams to bring intelligent products to market. 

 

What you’ll do 

  • Lead end-to-end product lifecycle management for data products, from concept and prototyping through launch, optimization, and end-of-life. 

  • Define and execute a data-driven product strategy and roadmap with built-in instrumentation, telemetry, and insights to support continuous learning. 

  • Develop and present comprehensive business cases, manage budgets, and oversee capital funding requests to support product investments. 

  • Translate customer, business, and technical requirements into clear product designs, user stories, and acceptance criteria. 

  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, customer segments, and revenue opportunities. 

  • Collaborate with data science, engineering, UX, marketing, pricing, legal, and external partners to deliver high-quality, scalable AI- and ML-enabled products. 

What you’ll need 

  • Expertise in product management for data-driven products, analytics platforms, or AI/ML-enabled solutions. 

  • Strong understanding of data instrumentation, telemetry, experimentation, and learning-loop design. 

  • Experience building and managing product roadmaps, business cases, and P&L for complex products. 

  • Proven ability to apply market research and competitive analysis to product strategy decisions. 

  • Experience working closely with data science and engineering teams to prototype and scale products. 

  • Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional and external partner ecosystems. 

 

What you’ll bring 

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) or advanced degree desired. 

  • 10+ years of related experience in product management, data products, or technology leadership roles. 

  • Recognized expertise in driving product strategy, resolving complex design issues, and influencing long-term outcomes. 

  • Proven ability to operate autonomously while engaging senior leaders as a strategic advisor. 

  • Experience serving as a visible representative or spokesperson for products or technology initiatives. 

  • Background working in large, complex, or highly scaled environments preferred.

Our AVP-Product Management & Development earns between $205,100 - $307,700 annually. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
